I would rather have a 14 year old legal citizen mow my lawn, than a 40 year old illegal immigrant.
Unfortunately, most people would not agree with me. the reason for my opinion is because I'm young, and i remember how hard it was for me to get my first job at 16, compared to my parents and grandparents getting jobs at 15 or 16... the problem is: competition, from more-able bodied, older, more responsible but illegal immigrants who are willing to work for the same, or even LESS than minimum wage sometimes, just cuz they know they can't get a real job anywhere.
it sucks, it really does, but I would do my best to help out the 14 year old, legal neighbor boy/girl and give him a sense of responsibility, afterall he/she is going to need it later in life, to maintain a real job.
I have never paid anyone to mow my lawn or clean my home. Why do you think the average Americans does this? You are mistaken most people do not hire illegals.
You remind me of these business leaders who are trying to convince the Arizona people that cheap illegal labor somehow benefits Americans in general. I was laughing at those business leaders comments as I am laughing now at this perceived notion that teens are lazy.

My son is very involved in the upkeep of our house, and yes, he knows how to paint.
Part of learning personal responsibility is knowing how to do things FOR yourself, BY yourself.

I do it!! I mow my lawn and I have painted my house. I pick up my dog's crap, I clean my house, and I wash my truck. I do not need illegals here to do the work that "I" do.

Mow my lawn? Me or a neighbor who needs a buck.
Clean my home? Me.
Paint my house? Me.
Clean my streets? The city, and they are of all nationalities though very few are mexican nationals.

I have always done my own lawn..and I always will...I have always done my own house repairs...I dont need anyone to do any construction for me...my lawn is perfect the way it is..why? The problem with illegals mowing lawns, painting houses and cleaning streets is that they ALSO collect substantial amounts of welfare, food stamps, free health care and cheap housing, compliments of Hard-Working AMERICAN Taxpayers.
The only way you will ever find out WHO will do those things once the Mass Deportation happens to the Illegals is to go HOME now, and avoid the rush.
Until you leave, you will never know the answer. The wealthy American Homeowner is quite capable of paying whatever price is charged to get what he wants. The rest of the homeowners are quite capable of actually doing the work themselves. Mowing lawns and painting houses is NOT, I repeat NOT--Rocket Science.

Here in PSL Fl i have seen more white USA citizens lawn services guy than ever before.Haven't seen Latino in the past 2 weeks.Hum whats up.As far a painting ,cleaning houses, Etc There are plenty of legals out there And whom do you think did this before illegals.They didn't invent the jobs just took them over by under cutting the price??

I also know some extremely hard working and driven teenage kids so I think that was a really rude comment. Show the respect you are demanding.

GEE ! I do not what I would do without an illigal to save the day. I am so stupid and lazzy and unskilled. I thank the good lord every day for sending me illegals to come to my aide.
