If the federal government cut off all aid to sanctuary cities, they would comply with the law. If states cut off all state funds to sanctuary cities, they would comply as well. The mayors and council members of sanctuary cities should be tried for contempt of Congress and/or aiding and abetting crime.

I live in Ann Arbor. We have a very small amount of immigrants who reside here. A lot of these places have such policies to increase diversity and can readily benefit from immigration.
I didn't know there were "sanctuary" locations. No offense intended, but you just inadvertently made it really easy for people to know where the sancutaries are. I am glad to see that there are none in my state. Do you have a source? I'm curious to read and learn more about this. It shouldn't be happening.
You missed Detroit. The only way to stop this bull-?? is to hold the local officials accountable for their actions. Of course the only way to do that is legal means and electorial means. Seeing as they have created these sanctuary cities, they have no worries about getting re-elected because they now have the majority with all the immigrants. So, legal action needs to take place. This can only happen 2 ways. 1. Feds need to take legal action. 2. Class action suit to stop these people from harboring criminals. Since you will also have to fight the ACLU (Advanced Communist Lawyers Union) #2 also seems unlikely.
If they just go in and get these criminals that might end things. I never heard that San Diego is a sanctuary city.
First you do away with NAFTA. Then the illegal immigrants will stop coming here in such large waves. NAFTA was supposed to help eliminate illegal immigration by globalizing Mexico, but the reverse happened. Florida also has heavy sanctuary for Cuban immigrants as well. Most of these people come here because their land was taken from them during the Neo-liberalist wave in Mexico and Central America or because they fled to save their lives from death squads. When the US backed the Right-Wing Governments during the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's and 1980's in El Salvador, Guatemala, Chile, Nicaragua, and various other countries... hundreds of thousands of people fled seeking sanctuary in the United States. Sanctuary was only given to those that were fleeing "Communist" countries like Cuba. It helps to look farther back than to just look at immigration for immigration state. Ever hear of MS-13... they are a product of what happened in El Salvador. Write your congressman.
