Crafted in secret and rushed to the Senate Floor? Is that a democratic way to draft a law?
What do you think? They intend to avoid committee altogether, giving little time to learn and object to specific provisions.
Answer:
Saw it coming long time ago. Why can't I link to the story on msn about the feds holding back hydrogen power?
No it is not democratic. If this goes through I think it may tip some of the silent majority over the edge.
It is a half-baked attempt to satisfy both sides. In the end it will satisfy neither. I feel affronted that I had to spend $6,000 of my own money to come here legally, yet illegal aliens can do it for less. Please, someone, explain to me why that is fair?
Yeah kinda like the repugnicans did with the war.
I tried to look up the particulars of the bill online and every time I did it just had this 2 paragraph bs that did not answer any questions. We have no idea whats really in that bill and have had absolutely NO time to agree or object.
Is this the way the government is supposed to work? It makes me ill.
hopefully it will be stopped. it's not fair to the people who are trying to get in here legally.
So much for a flawless democracy.
I would love to see the full bill and see what other little perks are in there they don't want us to know about until it is a done deal.
I wonder too about the rush to get this passed through.
What's so secret? I seem to be finding tons of information on the new immigration bill.
Although if it is being "crafted in secret" or whatever, it wouldnt be anything new for congress..
