Form I-130 ( should I use a lawer yes or not? )?

I am getting ready to file form I-130, and I am wondering if I should pay a lawer to file it for me or do it my self. Are there any benefits of having the Inm. lawer do it? It's the prosses any faster? Shoul i just file it my self and then after the USCIS has approved my petition hire a lawer?
Please help.

Thank you.

Answer:
No. you could this on your own. having a lawyer would not help speed up the process. Lawyers actually charge you for providing with the form when you can download it for free at www.uscis.gov and pay only for the service fee. the only good thing having a lawyer for immigration process is if you have a criminal record. i know this because my professor is a lawyer and he told the class that he charges $500 for such service when you could only do it on your own. just follow the directions on how to fill it out and where to send it.
That's the form for Alien family member, correct? Immigration law is constantly changing, so I would say hire a lawyer. Maybe not hire him to fill the form out, you can do that, but I would schedule a meeting with an immigration attorney. Did you know that rather than paying him/her to fill out the form, you can just pay them for a half hour consultation? Go in there with a list of questions that you would like clear answers to. It will save you a lot of heartache, and your forms will go through faster if they are mistake-free. You may not know to do something, and have your form bounced back after a few months...that is time lost.
I filed it myself, after talking to a lawyer about it. the waiting time isnt any different. All forms have to go through the same process, no matter who sends them in. Do it yourself, and you'll be saving alot of money!

Good luck... I'm still waiting on my answer! We filed June of last year. Grrrrrrrrr....
If you've got $2,500 to waste then go for it.

There's absolutely no reason what-so-ever to use an attorney to file a petition unless there are some serious underlying legal problems such as a criminal record or past deportation.
the K3 visa "I-130" is very easy for you to do, just following the instructions and make sure you write in "N/A" on any blank questions.

Here are what you'll need to do:

-I-130
-G-325a one for each of you
-Passport pictures two of each of you
-Copy of Certified copy of Marriage certificate
-Proof of your US Citizenship
-filling fee
After completing the above you will send your package to the USCIS Office that is listed for your state.

OK, After you have filed the above form and have received notice that it has been received then you need the following forms:

-I-129F
-G-325a one for each of you
-I-134
-Passport Pictures two of each of you
-Proof of your US Citizenship
-Copy of Certified copy of Marriage certificate

After completing the above these will be sent to this address:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
P.O. Box 7218, Chicago, IL. 60680-7218

You can download the needed forms here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/m...
