Why are you hating because I'm helping immigrants?

There's nothing wrong with "legal" immigrants, it's the "illegal' ones that don't belong here.
I would not object to you helping families, that is not the problem. But I do object to the fact that they are entering this country illegally.

I don't mind immigrants. As long as they are legal, and not criminals.

Dude, I don't think any American has a problem with Mexicans immigrants. We do have a problem with ILLEGAL immigrants. If you're aiding THEM, there is a problem. If you are helping them become legal, then you should be getting KUDOS for that.

I don't hate you, but I think you are misguided, they are not immigrants. Immigrants wait their turn and come into the country legally, the do not go around people, they do not take cuts in line. What you are helping are ILLEGAL ALIENS, they should not, and are not above the law of the land that they enter illegally, I sometimes wonder what people are thinking when they aid an illegal act.
Well, I don't agree with the thumbs up if that is really what you say. However, our country, including our schools and hospitals and working opportunity for our less educated workers have been severely hurt by illegal immigration. People are expressing their disagreement with your views.

Because illegal immigrants come to this country and will work for minimum wage because they can send it back home and it's a lot of money and we wonder why us Americans can't get a job or those of us who can, can barely afford to live b/c we can't get the minimum wage raised. And let's not start on the ramifications of when these illegal immigrants use someone else's social security number to work causing thousands of dollars of income to be reported to a legal citizen and that citizen has to go through hell and back to get that straightened out.

I think the reason that happens is because people generally have their beliefs and opinions, and once they see someone whom is going against their belief system and opinions, they have to defend... and that's why they give you the thumbs... it's the only way to express their defense.
I have never given you a thumbs down. If your helping immigrants it is a great cause and more power to you. It is only when you help people break the law that you would get a different response from me.
