It's not even worth the paper its on. An illegal would have to pay $5000, go back to his country, wait for 15 years for the paperwork to go through and then maybe allowed to come back? Nothing will change with that bill, zip. It's hogwash, like everything this days from Washington. We have more then enough laws already for immigration, but nothing s enforced, that's the problem, all the money flows to Iraq, the Pentagon and private firms like Haliburton. There is none left for immigration.

We can never agree on anything. That is the big problem. We can't organize and stop nothing because we never agree on which way to stop something. I agree we should complain to the president and every representative we know. Get a letter in the mail NOW. tonight. PROTEST. Why should these illegals get the right to collect our Social Security just because they snuck into the country?????
I need my Social Security. They say its going belly up in 30 years, maybe Bush wants to make sure he was right about at least one thing. If hundreds of thousands of illegals can take our SS it sure will go belly up.

Elect a more conservative Republican President in 2008 who will mobilize the GOP to initiate a new immigration bill that will contain lower legal immigration numbers and more enforcement of illegal immigrants.
We need to have someone as tough as Reagan who won't be too afraid to speak out for what is good for the country and not just what is good for big business.

Bush is out next term so he has nothing to lose. We should make a list of all Senators that sold us out for the rich constituents and make sure that the in the next election they are looking for a job.
Accept it seeing it passed through the proper legislative process with bipartisan support.
That does not mean you accept the politicians who supported it. If you do not like how they voted, campaign and vote against them. This is how a democratic society works.

I highly doubt that the dems are going to pass something that they can't take credit for. Bush would get the credit for passing "immigration reform." They won't want this.
I will vote against anyone that votes for this amnesty. We don't enforce our laws now and this administration wants us to believe in another lie. We have guest worker passes now and migrant workers now. It's the large corporate farms that are pushing American family farmers out of business that want this. When all the food is controlled by corporations you will have to pay any price they set.

take it easy. we dont even know the details yet. there maybe great new things going on. people need to stop thinking that mexico or canada will screw our govt, we need to see whats really the deal. thats another 130million people to tax so thast enough to fix the social security problem. increase our nations military, increase the financial markets, etc etc. cultures will be mixed. soon after that we might even add central america and south america to create "the continent of the free". well asian will form the asian tigers(china, japan, se asia, india), and theres the eu already so whats left is the middle east, russia(soviets bits) and africa.
