Interesting point! America has specific borders and very specific laws that govern those borders.
The open border people would have to pass laws that change this. If they tried, we would come after then just like with the Senate's piece a garbage amnesty bill!

No more than you don't realize it is not YOURS to close. And I am not for open borders, I am just against anyone who thinks they have the right to speak for me. This is not YOUR country it is OURs.
The border exists to establish the boundaries of our sovereignty. Whether a fence or visible line demarks that border or not, it is illegal to cross it without permission.
It would be far easier to keep that border from being violated with a heavily patrolled physical barrier in place.
