When do you think the voters in Michigan will recall their Governor?
Answer:
They had the chance to vote her out just a few short months ago, but failed to do so and thus it is doubtful that they will recall her anytime soon. How a governer can allow a great state like Michigan fall from the upper middle ranks to dead last (by doing borderline illegal things like forcing state employees to take a certain # of unpaid vacation days every year) and still get elected is completely beyond me. Hence, there is little hope for the apparently uneducated Michigan electorate and therefore for the state as a whole--and the mass exodus continues!
Luckily, here in the UP, we tend to get forgotten by those in Lansing and while that has some negative effects, it also means that the ineptitude of the politicians has little effect up here--our economy is doing pretty well right now unlike the rest of the state. That's pretty sad when the traditionally most depressed area of the state becomes the bright spot of the state's economy--because the politicians leave it alone!
