Is it easier for a Brit to get citizenship in a commonwealth country?

Compared to a non-commonwealth country?

Answer:
I can assure you...it is absolute murder in australia for brits. I had a partner from england who went through it and they were ridiculous with beurocracy and details. It is a fallacy to assume that being british gives any priority for residency in australia. Once you DO have residency after 2 full years there gaining citizenship is just procedure and quite simple. But...getting the residency is absolute hell. Can you blame them being cautious given the british reputations ?
yes. it would be easier to go to NZ Australia or Canada. South Africa and the USA are somewhat tougher as non commmon wealth countries.
Usually, yes. However if that person had criminal convictions, debt or bankruptcy issues it would be quite difficult if not impossible.
