Democrats are , generally , for IMMIGRATION because Immigrants usually support the Democratic Party, who in turn , help them in return by starting and keeping SOCIAL PROGRAMS that help the NEEDY . Free Health Programs , Food Stamps , etc. )
REPUBLICANS Claim to be against IMMIGRANTS, but the Republicans SPEAK WITH FORK TONGUE . They seldom give the working class a hike in the minimum wage, and they love the HUGE PROFITS that they earn on STOCKS when business across the US hire Immigrants to work for $1.00 or $2.00 an hour .
First off, Democrats are MUCH bigger supportes of these illegals. If nothing else, it is a GREAT way to get votes. Second, with new initiatives, such as WHTI(Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative) and US-VISIT(a system of biometrics to monitor people entiring and leaving the country via fingerprints, set to be in place in Dec. 08). These initiatives, primarily, but not solely, supported by Republicans, show that we ARE making some steps in the right direction.
