well most likely they are saying this to an illegal immigrant. and I think that's where the debate breaks down with pro-immigrant and anti illegal immigrant crowd. this of course is a metaphorical statement, more so aimed at our fickle government that wants it both ways. illegals to work the fields, do low wage jobs, but at the same time they have to please their fellow republicans that want more border enforcement.
Turn yourself IN - to an American citizen , we dont need papers just step right up, need some money, here take some more, let get Jr. 's paperwork filled out for school and have a look at that sore foot .
Is at USICS office the paper work that person will need to be submit it. Is not like that people need to walk to immigration office, everything is send it by mail then INS office send a date for that people to go and get finger prints etc. Identifications etc.
That is my best guess the process will be.
Trust me no illegal immigrant will show up just by walking in and giving thenselfs up to be deported...
I saw the outline of the bill but can't seem to get the bill itself but there was a mention about "centers" where people would be instructed to go to. What or where those might be .. couldn't say for sure.
