IMMIGRATION Reform -- Why don't simply do THIS, and solve the "broken borders" problem? WITHOUT a wall?
OUST (deport) every single ILLEGAL alien, as quickly as they can be located and identified. Quickly and expeditiously.
And RESCIND any citizenship status for any children born in the USA **to** illegal aliens, with immediate deportation of them as well. Applicable to all such children, even those who have since become adults.
Once back in their homeland, former illegals then should have the opportunity to access the SAME means for seeking citizenship that others have. AFTER a 5-year-long penalty period imposed upon them has passed, for their having been in the USA illegally in the first place.

Not bad, I especially like the part about the employers after all they are the major culprit here. One potential problem I see is that most large corporations are not tied to a person - who do we arrest? you could in theory go after the CEO (I think, not sure), I also would not have a problem with them trying to become a legal citizen after a penalty phase... Good effort. I will give you a star for it.

You're right - tackling the employers who hire these illegals is the first major step, after that comes strict enforcement of the laws and deportation.
I wouldn't have a problem if they tried to come back five years later either - As long as they showed respect and followed our laws.

I like your theory but without a wall they will still keep coming. I think your answer for anchor babies is perfect. First we need to abolish lobbies for the corps. or this will never be done.
1st item needed a national ID card. Without a national ID card how does one hold the employer accountable? Most ID cards are easily forged. Too bad the Dem's won't go for it.
It would also be nice if some state would make a law that would out law anchor babies. This is needed so that the Supreme court can revisit the 14th amendment.
I like your tough stance on employers. They are the benefactors and should be punished. It is not justice that the companies that follow the laws have undue hardship. I don't think a child born in US to an illegal mother and father should be allowed citizenship. It shouldn't be "ok" for them to admit they are not citizens. However, not grandfathering this all would cause undue backup in the system that is already backed up. Let it go and be happy if we get THAT FAR!
Give border patrol agents "Shoot to Kill" orders -- oh, and stop prosecuting our agents when they're just doing their job. If you're coming over the border at any place other than a checkpoint, it should be assumed that you're intent is to invade the United States and will be dealt with correspondingly.

Your ideas sound fine... except without a wall and heightened border security measures, what's to keep deported illegals from coming right back? Nothing. Especially when Mexico is helping and encouraging them to come - even going so far as to set up tent cities near the border as staging areas!
Congress passes the law to build the fence last year. We need to pressure them to implement it NOW.
This would definitely turn things around but it would require a lot of 'privacy' issues and that might be a dilemma.

Good Idea. except the one about the kids. WHICH IS THE OTHER WAY TO BE A USA CITIZEN BUT TO BE BORN HERE?. Or if you still want to enforce that I am in favor, but let's start right before the arrival of the Mayflower.
You've got some good ideas. As someone who's worked in Tucson, Arizona, I've seen firsthand how many employers have illegals working for them. Going after them would get closer to the heart of the problem. Of course, many are still going to slip through the cracks - folks employed in construction and food service especially. If the government doesn't know that a business exists, it'd be harder to check on. But it'd be a good first step and would certainly help.
And for the idiots who try to make this a partisan issue, get your heads on straight. This problem has been caused by both parties - so don't be so blind as to try and blame it on one along.

not gonna happen illegal immigration is a boon for employers on so many levels and they do help keep wages low by artificially inflating the labor supply...that is econ 101 Higher supply lower wages Period end of sentance amen. SO as long as the rich want the rich get. Such as trying to deny housing by requiring ID's to verify citizenship.
