Nothing surprises me, anymore. And, of course, there won't be any catches, such as, that the parents of the child must be legal citizens. Of course not! Sounds like just one more enticement to illegal immigrants, to me. Add that to the anchor baby enticement and all the others already on the books.
Yeah but you gotta raise the kid. Food, clothes, diapers, day care if you work (which you probably do if you are low-income).
$500 isn't nearly enough to justify having a kid on its own. Even if you put the child up for adoption, which is a bad idea, the pregnancy itself will cost a lot more than $500.
I do not believe my Parents received anything when I was Born, or when my sister was born a year later.....

You think Kids just pop out--I don't think so. Not sure $500 would be enough for me to "just pop" out a kid. I would say they want more of a bonus than $500. I am sure there is more to this! That wouldn't even keep me in pickles and strawberries for 9 month, yet alone the drugs I would want at birthing- I'm not that much of a naturalist. I don't think many are.
Who ever thought this up must be insane. And I wonder where they think this money will come from. I would like them to explain this to me--is it you play than we pay you and you play again, something is not right there.
