Sounds like you're still in love. If I were you I'd hire a real attorney to get him legalized. I have a friend trying to get her illegal husband legal and things have dramatically sped up since they hired a real attorney (not charity one). Either way, he'll have to go back to Mexico for a little while.

I'm a republican (moderate) It doesn't matter the circumstances, he came here illegally. Would you like it if someone broke into your house, then demanded you pay for them to stay their? That's essentially what illegals are telling us citizens to do.
My grandfather came to this country by himself, then he worked his butt off to bring the rest of his family over.

I am not sure what you want us to answer. Since he cheated on you, no matter the excuse, I don't see any reason for you to go out of your way to help him. I think even though I believe your son deserves a father in his life this man's cheating is a terrible example to him. I can see you helping him if you were together still but it does not change my view on limiting immigration. Many people have had to wait years to bring in family members due to our laws. Laws are there for a purpose not to always be gotten around.

ok, one of the benefits of hiring illegals is paying them practically nothing. you're telling me that he filed with the IRS to pay income tax even though he was/is illegal?!?! that's the craziest thing i've ever heard and i find it really hard to believe. Didn't his W2 look weird when it showed he was making $3.50 an hr?? What tax bracket did they put him in? lol my guess is that the only taxes he paid was sales tax since he cant get out of that one.

why a republican,, i dont understand that one,, email why on that one,,as for your husband paying taxes, how did he do that,, you have to have a ssn to pay taxes and being an illegal he could not get one, which means he stole somebodies ssn, if he is a great father he wouldnt be breaking the law or fooling around, thats not a great person,, i would like to know how an illegal pays taxes without a ssn

O.K. not attacking you or him, but I do have a few questions and some observations. This is 2007 and you said he has not committed a crime in the 10 years since he has been here. Now just a little quick math tells me he got here sometime in 1997. Years before 9-11. I am no lawyer but it would seem that if he has been living here for ten years illegally, that would kind of prove he has been and is breaking the law. That is a crime! Strike two, you were, still are married when, according to you, he had an affair. That is adultery, and is illegal in most states. You wanted a republican answer and I gave you an answer from a republican.
