Yes! They hate speaking with an informed voter. They get votes by being nice and not taking any positions. If you are informed then you ask real questions and that forces them to take a position on an issue. If they take a position on an issue some people will be against it and those people are less likely to vote for them. If they didn't have to answer that question they didn't alienate anyone.
Stay informed, ask questions and vote based on their actions not just responses. Actions speak louder than words.
