Do you think it is RUDE when american politicians speak of "foreigners" or refer to "foreign" this and that?
Answer:
Yeah, they can get really rude when talking about foreingers.. I mainly see this when they talk about Mexicans who've "Illegally Immigrated" and they ONLY refer to the people as illegals, taking away any kind of idenity of dignity by just making them 'illegal'.. Anyways, I can also see it to a lesser extent on debats about Iraq and so on.
No. I hate political correctness.
que?
como?
Huh? What's so rude about calling a foreigner a foreigner?
Foreign simply means something from outside a particular country. It is not a put-down or a criticism.
no
Rude? Foreign doesn't mean friend or foe, good or bad, it simply means not domestic or of this country. To think it's rude is to advocate open borders and throw away all "foreign" policy.
Since when is foreign derogatory?
If people take offense at the word foreign- they must have a severely limited vocabulary. I can't imagine what else they might find offensive.
No it is not rude. My own husband used to be a foreigner and was the first one to call himself one. Now that he is a naturaized US citizen he calls himself an American. What is wrong with calling a spade a spade so to speak?
NO , i think thats another way for people to stir crap up like how atmy school you cant call someone black you have to say african american but they wont get in trouble if they call people whitey , whiteboy , or cracker . theres so many screwed up things in this country that arent fair and arent right
not at all, why should it be?
No, I think it's RUDE when politicians refer to illegal aliens as "undocumented Americans or workers".
WHAT PART OF ILLEGAL DON'T YOU TOOLS UNDERSTAND?!!
No and you shouldn't be offended when people call You GAY
I've heard that ducks don't like to be called ducks. Instead they prefer to be called Quackmasters.
PC is so out the window.
