What can we do about the Illegal Immigration problem?
I finally started thinking about IQ scores. I went to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/iq_and_the_... I found that the average score for Mexico is 87. When I took an IQ test in 1961, the average score for the US was 100. Now it is 98. There is some reason that it has dropped. I think that this influx of Hispanics is destroying our country. I have watched the city of Dallas go from a beautiful city in 1950 to an empty hull. Ross Avenue was once lined with beautiful Victorian houses. Now it is lined with nothing but car lots and convenience stores. We must stop this.

Thank you for posting this. I agree with you. I grew up in the town I live in and the changes break my heart. It's turning into a gutter and it doesn't make me a racist either to say it. In my town alone, the violent crime rate went up 67% in 2006...the only other jump as drastic was the number of illegal immigrants known to be in the area. I call and write my congressmen and the White House regularly. I am also looking into volunteering a weekend with the Minutemen on the border. I have reported known illegals on several occasions and will continue to do so. I have reported companies that hire illegals...thank you for not doing that!! Don't give up, our country is worth the fight to hold on to.

At this point, the only way to prevent it is to build a big wall in front of Mexico. It may be extremely expensive, but it solves the problem.
i hate to say it but the only way to stop it is to basiclly close the gates and if they do show up throw them in prison for the rest of their lives

I think the government should built more fence along the border. And tighten the security there. Of course we should show sympathy to those who starve and wanted to get into our country, but law is law, everyone should follow it.

Well we did use to have an electric fence that stretched accross the border but well some dumb *** Mexicans really wanted to defy the power of the US and tried to climb and ended up becoming a human barbecue and we had all these human rights people protesting to take the fence down since it was against human rights and such bla bla bla so it was taken down so now the only thing we have is a line to keep them out. A line made of worn down pain and covered with dust.
Only TIRED of this insanity of the same question asked many times during the week by different people, then again I see you begging for approval by this asking. By the way, wikipedia is not a reliable source of reference.
Don't start blaming the lower I.Q. scores on illegal immigration. They come here to work s****y jobs for low pay that 99% of you hateful people would never be caught dead doing. They don't come into this country to take I.Q. tests.
No doubt there is a problem is with them coming here illegally, but there is a large number of them who want to become legal citizens and do pay taxes through their tax I.D.'s.
There should be a system in which those who are here illegally should be screened, have their background checked and either go through the process to become legal or be deported depending on their background, how long they've been here and how they contribute to our country.
But it should be an organized effort. Houses shouldn't have to be raided like their doing some major drug bust and families shouldn't be torn apart. Our government needs to come up with a comprehensive process that weeds out who should stay and who should go and work with Mexico's government to devolope solutions and standards that are enforced to stop this from both sides and make sure that whoever wants to be here comes here for the right reasons in the right way. Be it short term or long term.
Instead what they do is make everything an "issue" so that people can pick sides and fight and squabble over everything and not come up an end result.
And to all you who say they should close the gates and build walls and everything else and this is America, I have to tell you this.
None of you people would be here if it weren't for immigration. At some point in all of your families histories they decided to come here to live a better life. Every genreation goes through this, be it the Japanese, the Irish (where did Kennedy come from?), the Italians and so forth.

My husband came here illegally @10 yrs ago.From Mexico.He started with nothing,and now we are buying a home and have two sons.He probably makes more money than alot of those high IQ'd Americans,I don't know or care.He pays his taxes and gets his refund at the end of the year,same as you.And (trying not to sound hateful),he can read and write english and spanish.He didn't know any english when we met but learned quickly that first year.It helped I spoke spanish,too.He can add and subtract,multiply and divide...like any other grown competant man of 32yrs.So,as you can see,not all illegal mexicans are dumb,slow,or stupid as you make it out to be.In fact,all illegals I know are truthfully smarter than alot of american citizens.

What we can do about illegal immigration is to try to find a way for those who want to become citizens to get their dream.I understand the reasonings anti illegals have,and some points are valid.I don't believe that if you want to be a citizen of the U.S that you should be on government assistance or seek unemployment or any other means of government money.I think they should be made to pay taxes with the right amount of dependants.And not have a felony criminal record.If this applys to some illegal immigrants,why not let them stay legally?With the stipulation that they must keep up these terms for an undetermined amount of time.Or something along those lines anyway.

I believe that you are trying to say Mexican brought the average down. have you ever been to the south , if you want to find the true (ly) uneducated There are IQ results from every school district in the country and state by state published every year, The validity have been faulted because of the cultural bias . The first thing to do is make changes in Washington so that they realize that it is "WE THE PEOPLE" Then they have to do several things. One is secure the border, hire more border guards. Build the fence that is already paid for. Let the border patrol do their job, and take their word over the ones jumping the fence.
The we have to go after the people hiring them. Make it clear it will not be tolerated, big fines (over 10,000.00) and Jail mandatory.
Colorado started enforcing the laws, farmers needed the crops picked, they turned to the prisons. They pay them $10.00 an hour, 4 goes to the prisoner and 6 to the prison.
So I do not want to hear "WHO WILL PICK THE CROPS" they have solved the problem. In fact more farmers in Colorado, are turning to the prisons for labor.
