My husband has criminal record from when he was young for posession of Narcotics. It has been well over 5 years so he is able to apply for a pardon, but that takes too long. With a passport, which contries will he be granted entry to with no complications?

I'm from Canada and they just banned Nelson Mandella's ex-wife from South Africa from coming because of her criminal record. From what I understand, in Canada they take the charges from the other country and compare how they would be treated on the criminal code in Canada. Thats how they determine if they let you in. Your best to talk to a high commission. You may be able to go through because it was when he was a child and so forth. But better safe than sorry. You could also see if you can get a ministers pardon but it may take a while.
