Juan Canizal's minivan crashed into the car driven by Carmen Espersen she drove through Eagan on Highway 13.
Just before the crash, authorities said Canizal told his passenger that he was going to kill himself. Canizal survived the crash. He pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide on Monday in Dakota County District Court.
Dakota County District Judge Kathryn Messerich sentenced him to four years and nine months in prison -- nine months longer than the presumptive sentence under state guidelines.
After he serves his sentence, authorities said Canizal likely will be deported to Mexico because he was living in the United States illegally.

If he wanted to commit suicide why not just kill himself without getting inocent people hurt. I say an eye for an eye...he should get the death penalty...afterall that is what he wanted in the first place.
They don't feel as if they will have consequences to anything they do. Just like teenagers who were never disciplined as children. They go about their life doing as they wish and not caring about anyone but their selves.

And there are no other stories or crimes in your area being committed by any American citizens I suppose? I don't know where you live, but where I live they post a police blotter in the newspaper every day. Even with a HUGE Hispanic population here the majority of the names listed for arrest, drugs, traffic violations & domestic abuse, bad checks, etc. are AMERICAN CITIZENS. You might find one Hispanic name out of 35.

Oh my God what next!! Drinking and Driving was a problem in the United States before there was an undocumented problem. It may be hard to understand the the U.S .has the biggest drug addiction problem in the world, Drinking is considered a drug problem. The United States has raised a generation of drug addicts.
