Authorities went to the dilapidated house after Gloria Ramirez called a funeral home seeking a casket for the stillborn, 4-month-old fetus she had delivered in the bathtub with help from her oldest child, a 9-year-old girl. The fetus was found in a baby wipe box in the refrigerator, according to court documents. Authorities arrived at the house July 7. Decaying food lay around the home, trash bins overflowed, and mattresses had no sheets and were dirty, Child Protective Services spokesman Greg Cunningham said.
"The lack of sanitation was just amazing," Lubbock police Sgt. Scott Farmer said. "Trash is one thing but what they were storing up was ... my goodness."
The children, as young as 11 months, all had to be treated for head lice, and the two youngest were taken to the hospital for suspected dehydration, the documents say.
Anthony Moya, the 40-year-old father of the six younger children, has been charged with seven counts of child endangerment, and the same charges were expected to be filed against Ramirez next week, Farmer said.
There was little food, and some of the children told CPS investigators they ate only a hot dog out of the freezer for breakfast that morning, having been prohibited from opening the refrigerator, documents show.
The oldest child often was left to care for the other six when Moya and Ramirez went out, court records state.
After the children were removed, a city code enforcement inspector cited the home for 37 violations, including unsafe wiring, no working hot water heater, holes in exterior walls and no proper connection to public sewer and water systems, according to the report.

They don't have family values. In the apartments I used to live in a mexican family lived above me. The children (one was barely walking the other was only 3) were always running around the parking lot in diapers with filth all over them. They had no shoes on in 110 degree weather and there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't give them food, kool aid and water to keep them from going hungry and dehydrating. All this was going on while their mother and father was passed out drunk. I got so tired of pounding on that door saying could you please get your children, i'm afraid they're going to get hit by a car.
After 2 weeks of this I called the authorities.
I can cite a million cases were in you could just switch white for Hispanic.
Illegals by the very nature of their existence HAVE NO values.
Breaking the law, then take no responsibility for themselves or family means only one thing:

This is exactly the type of people who are coming here illegally. I had neighbors who didn't have their trash picked up for over a half a year and was just letting it pile up in the back yard making it a hazard for the whole area. I don't know why it is legal for them to do this kind of cr*p.
There have been countless cases of the same or greater gravity of this family who are Caucasian.
Obviously, anyone, regardless of race, who lives in the described situation is mentally unstable.

This story is horrible. But you saying "where were Hispanic family values" is grouping a race on one incident. You don't know sh*t about Hispanic family values! I guess me saying where were white family values when that white woman push her car in a lake with her two kids in it and blame it on a black man carjacking her isn't racist either.
How dare you try to turn this type of behavior into a racial or ethnic one. How many times have we seen news reports of similar or even worse incidents that involved non-Hispanic people? You are not only bigoted but also asinine to insinuate that an entire ethnic group has no family values. If you have prejudices against Hispanic people, then that is your axe to grind but I think you need to stop judging Hispanics as if somehow you have superior values and they do not have any. It's people like you who cause the rest of the world to believe all Americans are racists. So now you've cast the first stone. I will take hispanic family values over white (WASP) values anytime. Hispanics are more family oriented and take care of their old folks. Everytime a white old person goes to the hospital, no family is there. When an hispanic goes to the hospital, family is there.
Time to take out the trash.
This does not apply to all hispanics, the same can be said for many other races. This is sad case however this is a case of child endangerment and not one of race immigration. Just because the people involved are hispanics does not display the values of hispanics as a whole. Family values are very important to the hispanic community but as with every race of people there are going to be the exceptions.

To be completely fair, that could have happened in any culture or race. Mental deviants are in all of the races and cultures. Too bad for all of the children abused and neglected all over the world. One should have to pass a test to be able to be a parent in all races.
