We need it. The current "legal" process charges absurdly high prices and takes years. Only about 100,000 people are allowed in each year. Which is way below the current demand of immigrant labor. If the legal process was amended and it was easier for immigrants to legally immigrate, there would be no illegal immigration because there would be many legal immigrants who would pay their taxes and send more money than illegal immigrants do now. So they would benefit both countries. Eventually, their country would get somewhat better and the need to migrate would be lowered. Then again, all these people who don't want reform and want our current laws enforced will put an end to that, so in essence, the anti illegals are really the pro illegals.

Yes, there shouldn't be any, we don't need it. All we have to do is to implement our existing laws. Period!!

I think if the gov't is going to try and legalize the illegals it would be good for the national security, since fingerprinting would be part of the process,it would help weed out the undesirables and should hold them for deportation, but there still has to be some type of solution for the protection of the borders to prevent the same thing from happening again in 10 15 years. A guess worker program will not work to entice the illegals to return voluntarily.
i know most politicians want to give illegal aliens a "pathway" to citizenship and that idea is crazy!
Don't know much, just that they are going to "talk" about it in the next months. In my opinion, an immigration reform is needed-urgently!!! because the problem that the U.S. is facing with illegal immigration is not going to be solved by trying to kick them out of here one by one-that's ridiculous. Besides, the only thing most illegal immigrants want is the opportunity to work.
It regards changes to immigration policy and I'm up for it.
