Do any of our country's leaders read people's opinions on here regarding topics like illegal immigration?
Or do they even bother to care to ask what their employers(the taxpayers) think about issues that will affect everyone in this country?

They definitely care about the public opinion, but look around at your fellow Answerers. How many of them do you think could be considered to have a good view of what the country wants?

They couldn't care less about Yahoo.
But.. Democrat Politicians have many of their Staffers listen to Rush for 3 hours Everyday.
They are kinda like spies, and want to find out what's going on in the country.
Who pays these Staffers' wages???

(So we Taxpayers are paying Democrats to spy on Rush. and get themselves educated, while doing it.)
I don't depend on the posts on here being read by any politicians. That is why I write to them direct. This way they have no question as to who I am and what I stand for.
Do you honest think our leaders in congress or in the good ol U.S. of A can read?! They don't give a damn what we think, as long as pay day for them comes around every april 15th and they get a quarter of our paychecks they could give a crap what we think about immigration, global warming womens rights or anything else that affects us.
yes, they constantly surf the internet looking for people's opinions. So much so that they don't do any other work that we elected them for.
why would they care
This website gives people a chance to vent and express their opinions about a lot of issues on immigration not only in the U.S. but from around the world (on both sides actually).
If people really want to make a difference, use your VOTE, and letters and phone calls to your Congressman and any politicians you can talk to or get to listen.
Be pro-active and actively research all the politicians in the upcoming elections and don't only listen to their "promises"for the future, but also look at their track record in the past.
BTW You have no way of knowing WHO posts on this website, only what they tell you, and even then you don't know if it's true. You have no way or knowing if they are really male, female, age, country of residence or anything else about them. Very often people get their chuckles making inflammatory posts...to see people's reactions.
Of course not. If it doesn't benefit them, they could care less.
Perhaps the staff of our politicians surf the internet for public opinions. However, typically they have regions they are concerned with and this does not offer them their own constituents opinions.
If I were concerned with public opinion as a politician, I would certainly stay within my own territory through local news internet blogs, newspapers and other localized media websites to measure local opinions on issues.
Oh yes they hear, they read, they know, but the important thing is they know we know. America is fed up with this illegal immigration mess.

No. That's why we need to call, e-mail, snail mail and fax them. Talking about it only gets us fired up. DO SOMETHING NOW! Google your Senators and e-mail them. Call repeatedly. Fax multiple times. Send letters and petitions, now.
No I don't think they look here or anywhere else, for some reason they are beholding to the big money people. If only we would vote against this, do nothing congress that means, republican and democrat and boot them out you would think the next bunch would do better for their constituents but everyone that's democrat will vote democrat and everyone that's republican will vote republican. I guess we will be getting no where fast, just the same ole do nothing crap in Washington . hip hip ho-ray.
