As most choose to follow the path of democracy. Should the protests by illegal immigrants(in which they chose,
Answer:
I couldn't agree with you more. I know that "I" certainly thought of what they did as acts of terrorism. They DO try to play things off as if they are citizens which in fact they are not. They keep b*tching about how it is too hard to round them up, yet I did not see ONE raid on these hypocrisy ridden protests. And having said that it comes to my next point...
I truly believe that the ONLY reason WHY they were let to protest was because of the larger issue of the North American Union which Chertoff himself point blank said DHS was UNDER the SPP (or UNDER what Mexico, and Canada say) Yes, I have the DHS memos which STATE this. Mexico HAS stuck their nose in our business quite a bit since Bush signed the SPP in May of 2005. I wonder if Mexicans will be the only nationality that will be given amnesty...as a side point the amnesty bill that they had last year that made it through the Senate, had MANY provisions which pushed the NAU along, which leads me to question how many of the Senators are behind giving the USA's sovereignty away? My guess is the mass majority.
Sick isn't it? Wish that "I" could pick and choose which laws to follow and not to follow like the illegal aliens and the Government. The only one who is getting sh*fted is the American people.
I'm sorry. I thought you were asking a question as to whether or not we thought this was an act of terrorism, instead we get called dumb if we don't think it was—as you clearly do.
I happen to think it was not a "certified" act of terrorism, but It clearly was a golden opportunity to round up a lot of illegals..
What right do they have in staying in the USA. They did not pay taxes on salary. They used our free clinics for medical help. They came in the country illegally. While the taxpayers are paying for their stay even in our prisons. First thing they do when the law is after them is run across the boarder.
I agree on that there are many issues regarding illegal aliens, but I looks to me that you have a messed concept of "terrorism".
I don't think it is terrorism. They were marching in the street to protest. They are not going and killing people. They are asking for equal rights, to live in a land that once belonged to them before they were forced out. I don't understand why when African Americans protested in the streets for their rights it was viewed as a good thing. They were not forced to return to their homelands. But, when Mexicans do it, they are viewed as just illegal immigrants who are not entitled to any rights. If you are saying the economy is hurt when they do not go to work then you are saying that they are needed here and without them the economy would crumble.
Peaceful demonstrations are protected by the Constitution and not unlawful. Blowing up a mall however, is illegal. That would be the difference between your two scenarios. What bothers me though, is that they march for their "rights". They are here illegally and not citizens. So what exactly are their rights? I feel for them really. Their country's economy is a mess and with limitations on immigration, it is nearly impossible to come here legally. But what do we do ? Do we throw open the borders and let everyone who wants to come here in? And keep in mind, that if they come here illegally, there is no background check. Any old criminal could walk into your country. We need to secure the border. For those already here, well, if they have followed the laws and have no criminal history, let them work like every other immigrant towards their citizenship. It should not just be granted automatically.
Dude, if they show up openly declaring as undocumented, why didn't the police round up all the undocumented aliens?
By the way, you are so way off on the protests being an act of 'terrorism'... it's funny. How can a protest be an act of terrorism? Why are you linking the protests to blowing up shopping malls? Dude, you're so far way down the logical slippery slope.
