What does my soon-to-be Mexican husband have to do to bring me to live in Mexico?

I will soon be getting married in the U.S. to my Mexican fiance and
moving to Mexico for approximately 12-18 months. What does he need to do to be allowed to bring me into Mexico?

Answer:
a cheby
If you won't be working in Mexico, I wouldn't imagine there being a problem. A US passport is a golden ticket to go almost anywhere.

I've lived abroad for months, not anything as long as 12-18, without any problems.
Call the Mexican Consulate nearest to you. They will tell you.
A suitcase? Mexico doesn't care about Americans coming into their country. But, you might have trouble bringing him up here.
if you are married to him that is all
need a passport and have you mariage licence
Get a visa!!! you can stay there as long as the visa is valid... or just sneak back like they do when they come to US.. JK JK....
Yes, check with your nearest Mexican Consulate, or go online and look for the Government of Mexico website, then Immigration. The real factor is whether or not you intend to go there as a permanent resident or not.
Not much in the way of Paper work but did you know that once there he can beat you at will, its not illeagel to beat your spouse there.

Good luck!
Just step right over I guess and just don't come back, I never heard of any that was asking for a Mexican citizenship. I guess they may have one but all I see is the Mexicans coming over trying to get into America and pass the test. Your moving to Mexico, I hope it is a different town than I went over from Brownsville, TX. I was looking for a pair of boots, I couldn't wait to get back and haven't went back since. I guess they have some cities there that are nice but what I saw made me cry for the little children begging. I wish you the best and lots of luck.
DON'T DO IT!!!!
there wont be a problem, according to articulo 30 of Mexican constitution you become Mexican just when marry a Mexican and get your address in Mexico.

and the guy that told you your husband can beat you is very wrong, the law protect you and in fact has become stricter this year against people that beat their spouse. at least where i live a man that beat his wife is considered a coward. but i know unfortunately that happend in all countries.
the same way he got here.......swim!!!!
Why don't you just cross the border? Oh wait, sorry. That's a one-way route.
are you going to work? you can actually go on your own with the tourist visa. just head down there and fill it out, that's it. if you aren't going to work this should be fine. just renew it after 6 months, and you are good to go. if you want to work, i am sure there is another process...but it's much easier and faster than it is here. i worked in mexico and to process the working visa, it took about 2 months, maybe less...don't quite remember. either way...you can relax. they aren't going to be suspicious and mean and hateful to you the way they are here. why don't you try the embassy webpage?? that will give you some good information. there are also mexican embassies located here in the US (duh) and i am sure you can find one in or near your city. make an appointment with them and get things started.

congrats on your marriage!
