Do permanent residents needs to get a passport (Mexicans, specifically) when travellling to Mexico?

Yes absolutely.When my husband and I visit Mexico, he is a permanent resident here in the States, we have to present both our passports.

When traveling to Mexico, their gov't could care less what status you are, all they want is cash, and with cash you can do "anything" legal or illegal in Mexico,,,,

you need to go to your nearest MEXICAN CONSUlET (consulado mexicano) & apply for one!! U usually get it on the spot, but u have to be there early & you might be there for a while!

Im a US citizen & have traveled to MEXICO many times & my dad had to present his passport even if he was born in mexico!! BTW if ur american you can only be there for a period of time & if you dont leave before your time expires you can face fines. MEXICO DOES HAVE LAWS
