But seriously, China has a long way to go to be a super power, their ecological situation is dire! Not too many nations want food that is tainted or toys that are painted in lead. They are a prime example of what over population can do to hurt this world.

2) The Chinese military is not a global military force, but a regional military force. They lack long range bombers, aircraft carriers, a sizable blue water navy, heavy airlifting aircraft, more than a few aerial refueling tankers. The Chinese military needs to evolve from a regional power to a global power before it will be a super power. The Chinese will need decades to reach these capabilities.
