Simple. The border control agents have not been convicted. You can't pardon someone if they have not been convicted of a crime.
Oh, and in one case a person lied. In the other case humans were killed. That probably has a little bit to do with it also.

Bush did not pardon Libby. Libby still has to pay his "fine" (which someone else will pay for him) and he is on"probation". What will likely happen is that Bush will pardon him at the end of his term as president.
Bush does what he wants. No one stops him. At this juncture, I really believe that those who say the most against this man are laughing at him.
You see, it's all a game. The Dems, a few Republicans. They could care less about Libby OR this president.
..so they let him do as he pleases.because they count his remaining days with glee --and hope that he will someday fall on his own sword.

I don't know. The President has lost sight of what this country should be and could be. The Border Patrol agents are just as deserving of sentence reduction as Libby, perhaps more so. Afterall, they were out protecting the borders and catching drug dealers , not political friends.
Seems the President is more concerned about illegal aliens than American citizens doing their job.
Because the border agents don't have vital information on Bush and Cheney that could destroy their careers. Bush is an idiot.

Because he is GW! He thinks that he and his cronies are above the law and that his way is the only way. Isn't that blatantly clear? He is a poor leader, thinks he is a god and has undermined this country from the get go. If Scooter Libby can be pardoned after perjury may be poor immigrants can also be pardoned for crossing border without papers. Everyone talks about the taxes they are not paying or adding costs to the health care and education. Nobody seems to ask how much wealth they are adding to the system by hard work and by spending money in USA!! By the way if you legalize them, they will pay taxes too, like all other immigrants. In a country that needs one million more workers EVERY year from abroad , blaming them to take americans' jobs is just lame. Bottom line is, this country and economy need to import foreign workers like all rich economies do. Those who are opposing comprehensive immigration reforms are playing these games under lame excuses just to hide their racist agenda. Republicans do not want hispanic to come to this country, period. Today they are opposing undocumented mexicans, tommarrow they will ask legal hispanics to leave if they won't speak english language.
