Isn't the anti-illegal camp essentially anti-capitalist?

Why is it legal for capital and commodities to travel freely through borders but illegal when people do it? Free trade means commerce without borders. Capitalism theory depends on such unhindered trade. Is the immigration debate proof that capitalism is not the law of the land? Poor countries are forced into capitalism by the US, shouldnt it face the consequences?

Answer:
From my perspective this is about worker's rights. The corporations have a right from their perspective to make products with slave labor. They want to produce these cheap products so they can get a maximum profit. They have slaves in China, slaves in Southeast Asia, and slaves in Mexico. The anti-illegal alien camp is worker's rights or socialist. They will never admit to this, and even socialists seem to back the corporate right to slave labor. The US did indeed undermine the Mexican economy to such a degree that many are fleeing to this country for work. If we had been willing to pay a decent price, they could have kept their businesses in Mexico. Globalism is nothing more than forcing our cheap products down the throats of everyone in the world and forcing native businesses to die.
Not necessarily, but they're definately blind to the major impact that illegals have on our ecomony.
Yep, good point.
There's a difference between trade and immigration that's your first mistake. Free trade means commerce without tarriffs. Your borders comment is a pun that can be used a number of different ways, including your incorrect reference. Free trade has to do with tariffing and taxing of imports period. Poor countries and countries in general are not forced into capitalism by the US, good example? China. We don't tariff/tax their imports, however they tariff our exports to them, so their domestic products can compete. Is that fair? Should we not tariff their imports as well? Proof? Look at all the cheap nick-nacks we get from China and don't tariff, and then China, a country known to practically have closed borders and some of the highest tariffs, doesn't have their exports to the US tariffed. Look at how well the Japanese Automakers are doing in the US that is grounds to solidfy my tariff or lack there of in the US. Lastly immigration and trade are completely different the sooner you get that the sooner you can make a cohesive and true point.

Like I said before trade and immigration are two DIFFERENT things, yes they are related but that does not mean they abide by the same rules. Instead of calling it free trade you could arguably say free immigration or open immigration, neither of which we have in the United States. You place blame with the United States with allowing such "outsourcing of work" However realize those economies are dictated by that country's products (imports/exports), their debts, and their incomes. They dictate what the standard of living as well as salaries will be. Those poor countries invite outsourcing for a number of reasons 1) cheap labor 2) a LARGE labor force, high un-employment is pretty much a guarantee of a poor country. But I guess you could blame the United States for giving them jobs in the first place, or being the #1 financial contributor in the world by far to poor nations. The truth is without those jobs the people and the country would be poorer in the first place.
Great point! May I please quote your logic when some ignorant yokel brings up the "illegals taking over our country" debate again? I'm from Texas so we have a whole lot of griping about this here. It makes me wonder if some of these people just lack empathy in addition to intelligence.
Nice try at spin. If you had the ability to notice you would notice that illegal immigration and free trade have nothing in common as it relates to capital markets in a free market society. Economics 101 my friend. How about you enroll in the class?
Great point...Thank you! I agree with you...
Nope, illegals hurt capitalism.

Capitalism depends on the balance of power between labor and business. By undercutting labor and not giving the American workers a chance it inflates the power of business-they have essentially free reign. It has helped them (along with poor gov't policies) to form oligopolies in most industries.
Why don't mexicans make a go in thier cuntry?
Too, many banditoo? Tuff it up and make a go. Spinless wieeseels. There is never enough ee in spilnless and weesiles.
Nice try but your theory completely ignores the welfare angle. Illegal immigrants collect a whole raft of taxpayer funded benefits. Most Americans would work for less if we received the same freebies. Matter of fact it would be beneficial because we would pay less tax.
The average illegal alien costs the taxpayer between 17 to 22K per year. Did you figure that in to your model?
NO! You are 100% wrong!

Why are you comparing the illegal alien criminals, that are breaking our laws, to stuff? You are comparing a person to a piece of fruit.

You are also implying that these people don't have a CHOICE regarding coming here. They have a choice and they also have a choice to obey the law! They choose to be criminals!

Stop comparing people to fruit. It's insulting! Stop blaming the US! We have a good economy because we work hard and obey the law. Our economy is struggling because of the 20+ million illegals that are destroying our country! They do not benefit America and should not be here!

The amnesty bill is a piece of crap and should never be passed.
I can't speak for all anti's but I'm populist. 'Free Trade' that levels workers to pay and living scales of third world countries just isn't acceptable.

So out with Nafta cafta and all the others until there is an earth wide minimum wage/benefits, which might be a while. Keep the money made here invested here, not sent abroad in remittances. The problem with globalists is that they don't identify with a particular country's economy or people. I want what is best for the people of America, and I will vote accordingly.
