You do ask a very serious question with the outcome having grave consequences regardless of whether we do nothing or we do everything and anything that we can. I can't predict what the masses of Americans will do because I still see the same old apathy of "let somebody else take care of things" and I also see the "we're mad as hell and not going to take it anymore" attitude arising, but as for me I guess I'll have to do what I believe I'm called upon by my country (not by the politicians) to do when and if the time comes. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst, I guess. I do feel like I'm living in the first few chapters of "Gone with the Wind" sometimes -- things happen quickly once they start.
