How Much Should I Save To Relocate?

I am living in the UK at the moment and am planning to move to Denver in about 2 years time. I am wondering how much money I should put together to fund my move should I be able to get a visa to move there?

Answer:
If you get a workers visa and have a job sponsor, you can ignore my next comment which is that you should have 6 months living expenses saved up to cover you while you find a job.

If you live just outside of Denver an apartment in a pleasant area will cost less than actually in the city, so it will depend on where your job is and how far you want to commute. It is a huge trade off, but less expensive than the UK, particularly with the dollar where it is now. Why don't you put 'apartment' 'Denver' (or Englewood or whatever subburb) into your browser and see what prices come up? There are all sorts of variables, I'm afraid. Count on driving, though, and don't expect public transportation to be viable once you are working. There are busses but they don't work in our more sprawling areas (read, anywhere west of the Mississippi, except San Francisco.)

Here is the first apartment listing that came up on my search. If by apartment you meant apartment you own outright, the word you want is 'condominium', though. These are rentals.
Well you will need lots of money if you plan to move, if you get a visa.

I don't believe you can work, unless you apply for citizenship.

Good luck and hope everything works out of you.
all you can
Details: a big house, an apartment, in the city, suburbs, little Mexico,
what kind of visa? You may have a lot of trouble getting a visa.
First off you should apply for the Visa. It could take a lot longer than 2 years to get oked. And yes your going to need a good size of money in savings to be allowed to come here, also a job, and a place to stay.
