Are there any Police forces in the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand looking for UK Police to emigrate?
Answer:
3 Months ago I met the Alberta police at an immigration show. They were here in London at the show in Sandown Park, Esher. I ay have their contact details at my office. Send me your email address to info@hanskroonenburg.com and I will send you their names/telephone etc.
The need to have citizenship status or not is an internal matter for each police force. At times they drop the requirement and are prepared to sponsor serving Police from other countries such as the UK.
It’s likely this is possible in Vancouver BC and Calgary or Edmonton in Alberta in Canada at the moment. Both provinces are chronically short of workers in many walks of life. You do definitely NOT want to lodge in the London High Commission as it takes between 6 months and 5 years to be processed dependent upon whether you have a job offer or not.
I can give you the names of an agency that can legally and properly get you a work permit on the same day you lodge the application. There are 27000 job descriptions that will get you into Canada in 24 hours. They cover a full range of occupations from Light Duty Cleaner, bouncer etc all the way up to the professions.
So, don't listen to people who say it’s hard. It is only hard if you don't know what you are doing.

The NYPD is constantly recruiting. Can't give specifics, but I would look it up online.
The US is always recruiting, they carry weapons though and the UK police do not, and crime is higher too, so there is alot to be learnt.
Check the city of you may want to reloacte to on the internet and go to their websites, they will have information on police recruitment.
Whilst most police forces are short, most of the countries you have mentioned have specific requirements for Police. One of which is usually that of Citizenship.
In Canada, as a Brit you would have to obtain employment via the Canadian Embassy in London before you could apply to emigrate as a "Skilled worker" unless you have another sponsorship arrangement which maybe the Employer could arrange locally.
There are 2 types of Police here, federal (RCMP) and local or provincial which is the basic city police force.
You could always look it up. I live on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada, Beautiful place and i like you am British. The local police are recruiting so look them up.
Cant speak for other countries. But the only JOBS that require citzenship are political in the USA. ALL jobs in the US require a work Visa... other than a sponser/responsible party..any job is available to any person.....would recomend that u check with locale police depts. about education reqs. As any body in about 1/4 of the States can legaly posses a firearm with an application fee and a gun course.... I dont see any problems...
