I agree. I have no problem with Mexico nor it's people. I do not blame them for coming to America but something needs to be done to stop the overflow of illegal immigrants. I don't blame Mexico for this problem, I blame our own politicians.

I disagree. Historically speaking Mexico is very different from the U.S. We have more in common with Canada than we do with Mexico. Canada and the U.S. were once British colonies while Mexico was conquered by Spain and the British and Spanish were constantly at war with one another in colonial times. Modern Mexicans can trace their ancestry, in most cases, to a combination of Spanish and Aztec (native American) blood while the original, non-Native settlers of the U.S. did not interbreed with the native peoples (at least not as much as the Spanish did). Also Mexico's population consists mainly of Hispanic peoples while the U.S. is a melting pot of cultures from all over the world... there has never been any close social, economic, or historical relationship between the U.S. and Mexico; for most of their early history's they have been more rivals than anything else; only recently, with the influx of immigrants from Mexico to the U.S. has any real and substantial tie with Mexico been established...

I've never though of Mexico as an ally. Usually an Ally you would think of as helping you out. In times of trouble I think I could see Mexico standing around blaming the US for the situation. England is a real ally Mexico is just a neoghbor.

The United States saw no problem in accepting terror funded money from the 911 hijackers because they were students studying and primarily funding their own education. Prior to 911 Bush was on his high horse about positive reasons for immigration. Perhaps when the airport complex wanted in Mexico by the U.S. didn't materialize they took a different approach to relations with Mexico.
A lot of drugs come from Afghanistan but no one would think anything of the person if he or she were looking for a low wage job (maybe they would if they were looking to run Congress) within the United States.
What is really messed up is that the U.S.A. wants an airport in Mexico. If Mexico is such a problem that they want to set up a wall to prevent terrorism then why don't they set the airport in Afghanistan or Iraq (these would be some of the benefits of the democracy the U.S. exported to them). They did not get their airport in Mexico so now farmers just south of the border have to give up farming because the United States doesn't believe in sharing water flowing from its borders into Mexico.
It's so messed up because if the U.S. wants to obtain oil in Africa they'll establish a water refining plant, then send illegitimate AIDS medicine as a sign of good partnership. I am positive if Mexico had an oil supply as large as Iraq's then a war against that country and amnesty for its citizens would be acceptable as long as they never got beyond a low paying job. I guess what I am saying is if slaves were required to show slips of ownership when walking around the U.S. then it fits the mold to use the same practice with Mexicans. If Mexico would prove they can rebuild to a stronger country, grow it's economy, make it's people work in the country, clean up it's streets, have their people respect and follow laws of EVERY country etc...maybe the US would be proud to have it as our neighbor.
