How difficult is it to obtain H1 visa to work in a new york law firm if you studied law in south africa/canada
Answer:
Well, less difficult if you are practicing international law (with Canada if you studied in Canada) for example. As a general rule you will have to study for and take the NY Bar exam even if you get sponsored, however. Also, to be realistic, your credentials would have to be pretty good and the firm would need to have a need for people who know the law of your country before they are likely to take you over people graduating in this country who already know US law.
