Double Standards,,,??
Answer:
Defiently sounds like Double Standards. I knew of the property rights, however thanks for the additional info.
Lasty to the douche above me, Mexico was upset regarding the lack of immigration reform in the United States as well as the building of the fence along the US/Mexican border. It's a double standard especially when you consider the fact that Mexico has harsher immigration laws, yet wants us to adopt more receptive immigration laws.
yea, you are boring..sorry.
They have pretty harsh immigration laws. what is your point? How is that a double standard? Mexico doesn't control US immigration laws.
That's why mexicans come here and not the other way around duh :/
that does sound bad, and not right
Yeah - it is a double standard. and that surprises you in todays world? In my neck of the woods, it's the law of the jungle.
People that have double standards are hypocrites.
Of course they will NEVER admit it.
Send this to your REPS:
1. If you migrate to this county, you must speak the native language
2. You have to be a professional or an investor. No unskilled workers allowed.
3. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for elections, all government business will be conducted in our language.
4. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.
5 Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office.
6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs.
7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.
8. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted. You are not allowed waterfront property. That is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.
9. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations, no waving a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies, if you do you will be sent home.
10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail.
Harsh, you say?
The above laws happen to be the Immigration laws of Mexico!

Of course it's double standards! We should have had similiar laws decades ago, but our wonderful government didn't think it was necessary!! Illegals ignore those facts when someone brings it up and tries to play the sympathy and race cards to try and gain further support. Unreal!!
You're dead on. Mexico standards for immigration are easily found by surfing the web. You also have to have a minimum amount of cash and must have a trade/professional skill. Like us, Mexico is bombarded at their southern border and they don't want illegal immigration into their country any more than we do into ours. The difference to Mexico is the estimated $19B or so of money sent annually from Mexicans in the US back to their Mexican families. It's a huge boon to their economy. OF COURSE Mexico is going to promote the US to loosen their immigration policy. This question is not boring, inaccurate, or racist. It's a simple observation of truth. And don't get me wrong, I would do the same thing if I was a Mexican looking for a better way of life. But, I don't support a US policy to open our borders, even if it means helping those in need from any other country. The monetary cost will drain already suffering gov't and state provided services and I really am not fond of seeing my taxes continue to rise to support in-bound immigrants. When an immigration filter is in place to only allow healthy, self sufficient, employable, skilled laborers, then I'll be on board with it. Oh wait, that's how our immigration policy reads already. Who's minding the store??
Now they know how to run a country
Yes, it is a double standard, if not hypocrisy.
Mexico has tough immigration laws, which they enforce.
Calderon has publicly harangued Bush for not legalizing Mexican illegal aliens in the US and continues to do so.
Of course, it benefits Mexico to send their poor to the US than to fix their own problems. I wonder if Mexico funds the illegals protests here?
How in the world is that double standard. It's not, becasue we are not part of Mexico. We are not like Mexico. 2 different countries. Why don't you start complaining about about they other countries that are different from us, or how they have it better or worse.
