It's not a question of fear, rather a question of Legality. If the person is an illegal alien, it doesn't matter if they are from Mexico or Canada, I don't want them here. Follow the procedure and become a legal immigrant.
As for Mexico being a Democracy, that's not the question, either. If a U.S. citizen becomes a Mexican citizen legally, they still can't own private property in Mexico. That's a right for only Natural Born Mexicans. If a person tries to sneak across Mexico's Southern border, they will face machine guns and people who have no problem using them, and jail for those who don't get shot. Mexico wants us to leave our border open while they shut theirs down completely. I wonder why they are so happy to get rid of their own citizens. Is there something wrong with those who sneak across or are they just happy to have someone in the U.S. who will send money home?
Most illegal immigrants are Mexican too and they dont pay taxes sux our goverment agencies dry and do alot of crimes knowing that if they get caught they just gonna be deported. Also 2/3 of all illegal drugs entering US come from Mexico. I dont know where you live and dont care but i live in south Tx and lord willing they will get this dam big fence built repel NAFTA and close the fuxing border completly. As a proud Mexican American I can tell you what mainstream society fears about "Mexicans"...
Mexicans themselves are an intimidating race...kinda like black and a Samoan folks ( not to be racist, but it's true- You don't ever see people get scared when they see a group of Indians or Chinese ppl together) People (and by people I mean mainstream society) are afraid of one thing and one thing only--stereotypes. Mexicans are depicted as; gang bangers,drugaddicst,drunks,wif... beaters, dropouts, perverts,dirty and liars. Never mind that 90% of Mexican Americans are law abiding citizens who want to better themselves and their families....People only know what they see on t.v and on the big screen. One day we will strive, it's up to us to out that small 10% that 'F' everything up for us hardworking law abiding Mexican Americans.

I'm one white person that fears no one but mass illegal immigration of people who bring down wages,ruin school systems and health care systems bring disease,poverty and crime and have no love for this country most of whom are Mexican.But I agree all the countries illegals are a problem,here it is mostly brazilians, el salvador,chinese and haitian.

It all falls into place when you realize it isn't fear that drives us but resentment of people who break our laws to come illegally above our quotas for poor people, to put thier children into our schools and effectively take those education funds from our children.
Look at the economic impact and the failing schools and hospitals in areas where illegals concentrate and you will see this isn't a hate issue.

They fear us because we are a very fast growing community. They fear that one day we are gonna take over and make spanish an official language.
