Can my girlfriend visit me in the USA from the Phlippines just using a passport or does she also need a visa?

Can my girlfriend visit me in the USA from the Phlippines just using a passport or does she also need a USA Visa? If a Visitors-Visa is required, what is the average turn-a-round time for a 90 day tourist visa? Also, what steps in order need to take place before aquiring proper documentation and/or paper work? Thanks.

Answer:
A VISA IS AN ENODRSEMENT ATTACHED OR STAMPED & SIGNED TO THE PASSPORT TO SHOW CURRENT VALIDITY.....IMMAGRATION OFFICIALS THEN PERMIT WITHOUT PREJUDICE ENTRY INTO THAT COUNTRY.........

....ENCYCLOPEDIA WB
Sounds like a wife to be. I think she needs both. A friend just went through the same thing and I'm pretty sure you need both. Good luck...
Both.
yeah no problem 90 day or maybe a year visa.. or multiple five year entry .. if she has a long term job there they will give a multiple five year visa .. or if you write a personal invitation to her and have her present it when she goes to the place to get visa they might give her a multiple five year visa..go to the American embassy ..really its very easy ..
She needs a Visa. It is very difficult for a Filipino to get a visitors visa because so many of them do not return home. You might have to somehow sponsor her visit and garanty that she will leave before the expiration of the Visa. If you plan to marry her you can file for a fiance visa but it is better to use an immigration lawyer.
Good luck, I hope it works out for you.
Unfortunately she needs a VISA, I say unfortunately because it is extremely difficult for a Philippine resident to obtain a visa, unlike European nations, Japan, ect. She would need to get a lot of documents that would prove to the US govt that she has no intentions of staying permanently in the US. Bank accounts, businesses, referral letters from current employers, income verification, property,blah,blah...AND she would need to line up at the US Embassy together with hundreds of people on a DAILY basis who are there just to get an appointment with a consular representative, some of them camp out, yes I have seen it myself and my mom in law was a former consul for the Philippine government. The fee is like 5000.00 pesos (could be more) and non-refundable. After all this, the consul can still deny her a visa, and if your visa has been stamped DENIED, that pretty much rules out any possibility of getting a second chance. Yes people still apply after having been denied, but the success rate is very slim. For a single Filipina travelling alone to the US, I say the chances of her getting denied is about 90%. So sorry to discourage you, but this is the truth.
Of course, coming from a 3rd world country like the pilipines.
She needs a visa and it's just short of impossible for a Filipino to get a tourist visa.
