I want to revoke my US citinship, can a person be a citizen of no country?

I am sick of American politics and I do not want to be a part of it anymore. I would immigrate, but all my family is here. Paying taxes as a resident is fine, I just do not want the citizenship anymore.

Answer:
You will be deported immediately after you renounce your citizenship. Thank God our forefathers didn't turn tail and run when they didn't like the way things were run. They formed a new country.

Nobody could hate Bush and his war mongering and war profiteering more than I do. Yet I would NEVER give up my citizenship. You sound very immature so don't make any rash decisions until you mature.

Ever hear of "The Man Without A Country"?
You can go to Mars and be a citizen.
If u dont have citizen ship then u atleast need residency status if not you wont be able to live indefinitely in the US
your statement of frustration is absurd. You would soon see wherever you chose to live similar frustration in any country. I have seen people sick of politics in several nations around the world Same Sh it different smell.
It is to bad we can not sell it but it has no value now.
Your noble feeling to reject the American politics is shared by many fellow Americans who do not approve of what's going on...

... I am not an American citizen myself but I do tell you to be proud of your great nation who have proved over history to have recovered of many mistakes they made.

... I believe the US is still a fortress of freedom and great values... the Bush gang will go... be a good American and choose someone good in the elections that is the least you can do.
what you have to do is go to the American embassy and renounce your citizenship, even than, it may not be revoked!
you can try and immigrate to another country but most western countries wont accept your reasoning...!.
I think you have a good idea as there are millions who would be willing to risk their lives for the opportunity to be an American citizen, perhaps they'll try and change the politics you can't be a part of instead of running away from it !
U can be, like I, a state Citizen. This is codified as a 'state national'. I was born here, I love this country, and I would NEVER admit to being a federal Citizen. Federal citizens only have 'civil Rights'. state Citizens have the UNalienable Rights. Even the sup crt says there's a major difference between being a state Citizen and a federal Citizen. Here's the statutory definition for 'state Citizen' (eg. state national) -

(21) The term “national” means a person owing permanent allegiance to a state.
(22) The term “national of the United States” means
(A) a citizen of the United States, or
(B) a person who, though not a citizen of the United States, owes permanent allegiance to the United States.
____________

There's about 450 'legal' definition (both state & federal) so makes sure u know which one they're speaking about. I have lived as a 'state Citizen' for many years now - and since truly living free, my love for my country as grown in abundance.

hope this helps
O boy you are very lucky to be an american. The richest country and most powerful in the world i know you are joking you dont mean what you are saying
where do you think you can live if you are not a citizen anywhere dumb ***?
You lose certain rights such as the right to buy a firearm in some states when you renounce your citizenship, so it could be a costly gesture. What do you gain from it other than making a statement?
Good, the papers to revoke your citizenship are in the mail, I think you have made the right decision for both for yourself and more importantly for your former country
Is this Micheal Jackson? loved Thriller you perv. Good luck in the middle east. Hopefully we won't see you getting decapitated on the Internet.
You can't have your cake and eat it, too.
there is a process for this...i think it is called sovereignty or something

people have done it here and we deal with them in terms of taxes and such
A person who has no citizenship or residency in any country is in a lot of trouble. You could be stuck in some airport for years or decades, like that poor Iranian fellow who was in CDG for so long that he forgot how to get along in the outside world. My suggestion is, apply for the right of legal permanent residence in Canada. Canada may not be perfect, but they are much less aggressive toward other countries than the USA is.
