H1b visa application right time?
Answer:
H1B quota starts every year on OCT1st and it is granted for a period of 3 years. How ever an employer can request for a H1b worker 6 months ahead of time which is Apr 1st. In essence, for you to start working on OCT1st 07, your rmployer can file the application as early as Apr 1st 07. You cannot work before OCT 1st 07. The current year quota (Oct 1st 06- Sep 30 07) of 58K ( excluding the ones for chile and singapore, 7000 are reserved for those 2 countries ) were over on May 26th 2006. USCIS received all those applications between Apr 1st 06 and May 26th 06. If you want to start working from OCT1st 07, your employer has to file for your visa as soon as possible in the first week of Apr 07. You might want to ask more Q's on www.immigrationvoice.org where a lot of H1B's are present.

You aren't late. How many applications are in, I don't know. Last year they were gone some time in April.
January is the Best, December is the worst.
as at year end, the quota is nearly filled.
You are way too late. And I am telling you I spent aver $50,000 last year for my company to bring in applicants on the H1B all were denied, yet I still had to pay the fees. Just because you had a sucessfull interview don't get your hopes up. All of my applicants did too however due to the delay none were awarded the visa.
