Sure, my ANCESTORS came from Canada, England and Switzerland. So what! I'm not going to call myself a Canadian-English-Swiss-America... That is ridiculous!
BTW, my mother immigrated LEGALLY from Canada. She was a Canadian working to be an American when she died. She would not have called herself a "Canadian-American." That is insulting! She was working hard to become an American. You should leave behind your past country and embrace your new home!
everyone here, excpet NAtives, have descents from all over the world, and it's sad that mostly white people don't see that. They only think of themselves as Americans. I am a US citizen, I was born here, and I do also consider myself Mexican American. Being American is a nationality.
