Is a guest-worker program is the worst possible way of dealing with our immigration crisis?
Answer:
Kick out all the illiegals and build a BIG wall on the border.
No the worst way is to prosecute undocumented workers (the victims) and not the Mega-Corporations such as Tyson Foods who enable, encourage and employ them (the perpetrators).
There is no immigration crisis. Just a lot of xenophobia. The worst way of dealing with it would be to get rid of the immigrants who keep this country running.
It will only bring more and more illegals in here safely on a bus or something provided by the US.... then poof! they disappear once their time is up.
No, It is the best solution.
yes, because it legitimizes illegal immigration.
You mean actually knowing who is living and working in America? You're not suggesting we check the REAL identity of foreign workers are you? How would Tyson Foods keep the price of its boneless chicken breast(20 percent flavor enhancing solution added) down for the American consumer? If we had that we could control our borders without a big wall. Terrorists couldn't hide behind a false identity. You are talking immigration control! Very Bad for business. They would be force to hire Americans at a living wage. How would their CEO's skim off the profits?
Yes it is. No way will any so called, guest worker program work. First look at how many Americans are out of work right now. Also think about this, when the work ends, or run out, who really thinks that they will just go home, look right now at the numbers that had their visas run out and stayed anyway. The very best way to deal with this problem is, enforce our immigration laws, deport all illegals here in our country, and give NO amnesty.
There needs to be a guest worker program. One that allows for a certain amount of seasonal / temporary workers who are registered and tracked , and taxed.
But its only one facet of the issue, it certainly isnt the solution, but its a component.
Sure its the worst way, its just a ploy by our goverment to make the Americans think something great is being done. They at this point, think were stupid, and will fall for anything. I have a sister-in-law from Mexico and her mother came from Mexico when my sister-in-law had to have surgery. She had a permit to be here for 2 weeks, she was here for 2 months and could have stayed forever. No one comes looking for them when their time is up. Same way it would be with guest-program. Once your here, your here forever, no one is going to do a thing about it. The biggest problem here is...even when they get caught and sent back, they are back in our country the next day. Should be 3 strikes and your dead.
We already have a guest worker program. Its called a 'non-immigrant work visa'. The so called guest worker program Washington has been talking about recently is a front for AMNESTY. It has nothing to do with workers.
On top of extending the visa waiver countries to whichever country the President chooses as they are debating in the Senate?
Well, if it isn't the worst, it is one of the two or three worst.
It sure isn't good.
If we already have millions of people here working illegally, what makes these politicians think that a guest worker program is the best way to solve the illegal immigration crisis we are facing today in America? The thing about a guest worker program is this: if we cannot deport many of the millions who are working and living here illegally today, what makes us think that at the end of the migrants' "term" as a guest worker, they will go home?" So to answer your question is a resounding yes, a guest worker program is the worst possible way to deal with our country's "illegal" immigration crisis (other than the fact that our immigration policies allow to many unskilled labor from Latin American countries, our immigration policies are the best in the world).
No. The NAU is the worst, followed by amnesty.
They would find a way to falsify that document too. We need to round them all up... send them packing and make them apply to visit our country.
