Isn't funny how people talk about law like they havent broken any in their entire life ?
So why people act like they're so f*cking perfect.
Throughout history many laws had been broken many injustices had been committed, usually by those who have the power, those who have the power make the rules and usually for their own benefit and to protect their interests.
There are things that are bad in every society like killing or stealing, but there are other laws that are just trivial and burocratic crap.
So ... he without sin cast the first stone !!
Answer:
Breaking certain laws is more reprehensible than others. For example, breaking a noise ordinance hardly compares to murdering or raping someone. I would think that a person who has never committed a serious crime could feel OK casting a stone at a murderer.
I think it is depend on the degree of law. Everyone break a law of course, like speeding on the highway, it happens all the time. and people are getting away with it. But when you murder some one, you wont get away, well in most case anyway. Because its consider SERIOUS crime. I see your point.
Yeah, it's just bleeping hilarious. However, I think you are mistaken about a couple of things you mention as being illegal. Who cares, point given.
Im standing up and applauding for you (literally)... BRAVO... i mean it...
have a great day!!
The stuff you put in your comment/question I have never been guilty of doing.
Err buddy did you not know that this is the land of the self righteous.?
.
Adultery is immoral, but not illegal. Neither are abortions. And, not every person out there is having an affair, having abortions, and smoking pot. I'm not. In all honesty, the worst thing I've ever done is to forget to put on my turn signal.
And I don't consider ignoring immigration laws trivial or beareaucratic crap. Its stealing. And its a big deal.
I break the law and I get punished...Ding!
And no Abortion (unfortunately) is not illegal and niether is adultery
no wonder you guys break the law, you dont even knwo what they are.
We like to hold our politicians to a gold standard. We have some warped view where we like to see our politicians as extensions of ourselves. Americans are quite prone to it.
And we like to think we ourselves are perfect. For instance, the majority of people think they are above-average drivers. That is logically impossible, yet we think it anyway. We want politicians to be better than we are because we don't do it ourselves.
Does breaking the law make the law invalid ? I think not . Does the refusal of enforcing the law make breaking the law less ? I think not. By having less morals to think you can pick and chose the laws you break any less criminal ? I think not.
Regardless of what I have done or not done in my life, I not only cast the first stone , I will launch it!
So you are saying because other people have broken laws that its ok for other people to do it?
First of all Adultery is not illegal in most places and neither is abortion
Someone smoking pot doesn't cost trillions in tax money
Illegal immigration and possible amnesty costs/will cost the taxpayers billions. Not to mention that we are rewarding people who do not respect our laws by allowing them benefits and possible citizenship ahead of the people that have applied and gone about immigration legally.
As for the laws that you think are "bureaucratic Crap" vote for people who will change it.
I've never done any of those things..and I am far from Perfect.
So your saying that people should not stick to their values because NO ONE IS PERFECT?? and people should not be able to speak up because THEY ARE NOT PERFECT? Their is a BALANCE in life, and then there is down right WHO CARES ABOUT anything or anyone else I'm gonna take what's mine. You can either try your best to do THE RIGHT THING, or not give a rats "A". Which one are you?
It's not about that. I've broken a few. But the point is that I got punished for it, and I expect the generosity should be distributed fairly. There shouldn't be any special circumstance.
There are a number of silly laws still on the books that most people are unaware of and may well have broken.
Many people do break laws in thier rebelious youth.
Neither of these facts is an argument for condoning lawbreaking, in general, though. I mean, if it's OK to commit one crime, because other people are committing other, less serious ones, then the escalation could go far enough that the rule of law collapses - then people will be fleeing the US, not as emmigrants, but as refugees.
Some laws are indeed trivial, while others, like fraud, theft, assault, or murder are serious. Illegals commit fraud and theft regularly just in the course of living without documentation. So, even if you don't consider the crime of invading another country serious, you have to admit that stealing from and defrauding its citizens the whole time you're there would be.
Daily embezzlement of $10,000 per year per child of education costs, food stamps, subsidized health care, etc is beyond most people's peccadilloes. The damage isn't done as they cross the border, but in the drain and strain on our services, day after day after day...
Yeah they all act like they are perfect.
(Abortion isn't illegal though)
One day I saw 5 people commit a misdemeanor with in 20 minutes !!. That is what crossing the border unchecked is, a misdemeanor, not a criminal offense but it is an offense that can cause the person to be deported.
Like "ever" I'm also standing up and applauding for you!
Some people who commit crimes don't even get punished! Like speeding or running a stop sign.
So your answer is to just to forget laws all together because we don't catch everyone breaking them? Ya.I have driven past the speed limit. I know I'm not supposed to. When I got a ticket I wasn't screaming about how un-fair it was since 5 more went speeding by or how it's stupid to have that speed limit that low in this area or how I was unfairly "targeted" because it was a black cop and it had to be coz he had something against "whitey" here. I didn't scream and throw a fit or leave the state and get a new identity. etc. etc. etc. Nope..I got caught, I appologised, I took my ticket, I paid my fine and considered myself lucky. Ya.I complained a bit about why couldn't he have been out there catching "real" criminals instead of picking on an old lady.ruined my "perfect" driving record so now I don't get the insurance discount. But.I got caught. I was speeding. With millions of people and a handful of cops they can't catch every infraction, by every person, every day. All I can say is if you got caught..you got caught. Pay the piper and quit whining about it.
What angered me the most is this attitude that illegals should pay no penalty for breaking the law. Sorry.I don't care if you've been here 10 min. or 10 years. When you're caught, you're caught. Buck up and pay the piper and stop whining about getting caught. I don't care if it's ID theft, speeding, housing codes, drunk driving or what it is. Just because you got away with it doesn't mean you're exempt from it. Life ain't fair...deal with it.
You are right nobody is perfect , however the difference is tha I as a tax paying citizen pay for all the mistakes of those that don`t contribute. You also stand corrected as I believe that a large percentage of people never step out of line.We are not perfect but we hold ourselves to high moral standards .
Speeding or smoking pot etc does not hold the consequences that are borne from a disproportionately large infux illegal immigrants .
