I will need to have a hysterctomy soon and wanted to know if anyone knows how long I will be out of work ?
Answer:
It all depends on fast you heal and there are no complications.
I was off work 5 weeks. My girl friend was off 10 weeks, she had controllable bleeding. Everyone is different. It is really hard to say.
By the way what is this question doing in Immigration??
usually 6-8 weeks. Your doctor can tell you. It depends on you and how everything goes
ASK YOUR DOCTOR. They tend to know these things.
immigration?
you should take off for about 2-3 weeks. For those weeks you will feel weaker than you have ever felt before and also will need all the sleep you can get to get better.
my boss was out 3 weeks
Ask your doctor. They will be the one signing your disability papers. No one here can help you. This is between you and the Docs.
Btw, this is an immigration forum. The medical questions forum is down the hall on your left.
Get well quickly.
It depends on how well you heal. A young friend of mine was back in 3 weeks; a friend's mother, 2 months. It all depends.
The doctor tells you how much time you should have off. You don't pick it. Usually no more than 6 wks and if your job isn't real physical it can be 2 weeks.
Please exit hurry.this forum for insults basically!
My Mom went back to work in three weeks , that was after her first check up. Just can not lift anything heavy for about six weeks. Was no big deal to my Mom. I would say take about three weeks, it worked for my Mom and she is doing great.
What have hysterectomies and immigration got in common?
After my hysterectomy I was off work for 8 week and then on light duties for another 3 months. I was told to treat my stomach like tissue paper for 9 months to allow the inner work to heal properly, so that means no heavy lifting for 9 months.
Hope that helps.
I'm not sure how this question got into Immigration but you'll need at least two weeks depending on how the surgery is done and maybe more. I was quite young and I'd say that I was ready for work in about four weeks but I had abdomen approach and I had a huge incision. The usually do it vaginally now and that speeds healing time. Good luck!
What does this have to do with immigration?
6 to 8 weeks
Good luck with your surgery!!
My wife had one last year and she was off work for 6 weeks. However, I think there is a difference in what type surgery you have. Hers required an incision at the pubic line, but the time off may be less if yours is vaginal. She came through it like a champ, you will too.
ASK YOUR DR & U POSTED YOUR ? IN THE WRONG PLACE.
