You are right. Borders are ridiculous. As is the notion of "country". Left over from antiquated feudal concepts and warlording.
One planet, one people. It might take a few centuries to sort itself out, but this is the only way.
If this concept scares you, ask yourself why. Why are we so afraid of the Great Unknown Next Door? Why do we systematically refuse proper education to our children? Or to ourselves? Why do so few people actually grasp the Big Picture?
These are the true red flags. The others are red herrings.
I'm not sure what annoys you about this . . . getting a passport is not a huge deal.
its just a form of identification...god forbid you have to open your purse to get it out...

Also, imagine all of the LEGAL citizens who will be stuck at the border if they lost their passports or they were stolen. Then all the illegals crossing the border and not even being stopped...that is something to consider.
I hated all answers I got, and how the illegals desparately did all these things to cross. Whatever, on the news it shows them just walking across in groups while the border patrol sits there and can't do anything.

Why do u think as an american you can enter into other countries with NO PASSPORT. Every other country needs a passport to travel, y should americans be any exception. Everything is right about a passport, there is something wrong with you.
I'm not all up in arms about border control, the way many people currently are, but we honestly should have done that a long time ago. Requiring passports is a simple way to make smuggling harder.
Of course it is right that you need a passport to enter and leave a country. Obviouisly, you've never went outside US, Canada or Mexico. It is called national security!!
I agree with BestPumPum. And if you don't use it before you'll see what pain and waste of time have the tourists and those who are not Americans to enter in US. I renounce to visit my US friends because is to much trouble. When i what to see them we meet in Canada. I spend my money over there and the air is much cleaner ...there are not so much SUVs over there.

"all men are created equal, endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights"
to
"get in line and maybe we the bureaucrats will grant you some privileges if you fill out the proper forms correctly."
This country was founded by smugglers. For the first hundred years, we had no immigration laws. We've degenerated into a nation of law-abiding sheep.
