im not british but i totally aggree with ur point. they are only protecting what belongs to them.
First of all I'm glad you love our country and if you asked most people in the street they would say they don't have a problem with immigrants that have the same views as you , if somebody wants to live here and fully integrate and contribute to our society then , I'll shake their hand and wish them the best of luck . Unfortunately you seem to be the minority within many minorities

I lived in the UK and found it amazing as well, however, my life, my history, and yes my love is for this country.
If you think you will be okay severing ties with your homeland, do it, but people like you are amazing to me.
I could never leave America for good, not even if it was ruled by terrorist Nazis who played soap operas and American Idol all day long, and all I had to eat was sauerkraut and hominy (the only two foods in the world I hate) and I had to live with Paris Hilton and listen to Rihanna all day.
My husband came here LEGALLY from the US just under 4 years ago and MUCH prefers it here, so I am glad you like it too. There is one thing that you stated that I do disagree with and that was about people slagging off UK politics.. our politics suck, our judicial system sucks, I was born here and have been here a lot longer than you. So trust me once you have been here a few more years you will come to realise that too. But then I ask what person on this planet is happy with their countries politics??
But you've got me wondering now - which is your country of origin. I shall be scanning your posts looking for clues!
I'm British but I wouldn't fight for this country or any other. Rather, I would fight for what I thought was right (if I wasn't too scared!)
Anyway, glad you like it here. But politics here is rubbish, as someone said, probably no worse than everywhere else.

without sounding racist, it always amazes me how immigrants are please to be here, not surprising really when you think that most of them have come here with nothing and our governments have given them priority over its own people, Most Brits don't have a problem with immigration, but not at our expense, anyone coming into this country should either be sponsored or have the money to pay their own way. this is what happens in most countries these days, so why are we not following their lead ? Its good for you and I'm pleased your happy here, but please don't be like most of the type who come here and expect a free ride, or you'll find that's its not such a green and pleasant land
Thanks for your comments, good to have something positive said about the UK for a change, sadly it is those of us who were born and bred here that have the problems. Yes on the whole we are considerate and compassionate but it is not easy when it seems that some people have more rights and privilages.
I can 'slag' of my politics if i want to because that is my right. the immigration system is a joke. As a result we have politicians dreaming up ideas like british day to intergrate us, we are a country that is severly separated due to mass immigration. Hence the reason why the vast majority of racial groups live in there own communities whether it is black, asian, or white. During the post war period we had to open up our borders to grow, now it is not necessary. Public services are at breaking point. So i for one am not going to like it or lump it, a points system for immigration is essential. More immigrants without the skills we require are simply not needed and would make a negative impact than a positive one.
I am not rascist BUT I have to admit that the immigration system of the UK is just one big farce! I have friends who are black, yellow white etc - no problem with them! We have opened the floodgates and allowing too many people in!
I am pleased, however, that you are happy here. You probably have a job etc and do not sponge off the system - many immigrants do just that (with help from our glorious parliament - huh!) And even more do not want to integrate....
