Answer:
Not legal - It's harboring a criminal. Anyone who houses an illegal alien should be charged and required to pay a fine or do jail time.
On paper, NO but in reality...if you don't get caught its fine. Az is famous for doing it.
Yes it is. The only city that made it illegal was Farmer branch TX and the courts over turned it, probably because the ACLU threatened them with a hefty legal bill (extortion) that would be impossible to pay.
Yes
Yes.
In fact to purposely avoid doing so will get you charged with housing discrimination.
No!
YOU QUESTION IS VERY CONTROVERSIAL.
AS OF TODAY THERE IS NOT A SINGLE LAW IN THE 50 STATES. THAT REQUIRES LAND LORDS TO CHECK FOR THE STATUS OF THEIR TENANTS. THEREFORE I THINK IF IS NOT ILLEGAL!
It SHOULD be! The facts stand that the houses and apartments are trashed when they are finished with it...WHY do I say this? The fact that they live 20+ to a house when the capacity is only 5 people to the dwelling.
I think it is illegal if government subsidies come into play.
However, where not illegal, it is frequently stupid. Property owners frequently have to spend exorbitant amounts to repair the damage they leave behind. Battles to evict can be time-consuming. I know most places here have raised rent, placed limits on occupancy and enforce those limits, eliminate sub-letting because of damage and disruption by illegal aliens and even legal latinos.
One friend who owns apartment complexes had to have 23 illegals removed forcibly by the police from a small one-bedroom apartment, that a couple leased, then subletted violating the lease. More than 30 were forcibly evicted from a 2 bedroom rental house.
