I think it will pass too. What Bush wants Bush gets. However no matter how much I don't really like the guy I'm happy that he is on the side he is. Whether he is doing this for his own personal profit, I think the ones who will benefit the most will be all the illegals coming out of the shadows and doing things they always wanted to do. Fact is that the USA is the least racist nation on this planet.
I know very well that this applies to a great many of them because I have been to many nations to see and learn.
Also every Embassy the USA has is trying to deal with the mass of applications people submit to go to the USA. It is in the millions every year. No other nation even comes close to the number of applicants that the USA gets.
Such a bad place that most people would sell their children to be able to go to.
Where I am today they are allowed fifty thousand to go to the USA each year. The Embassy gets nearly one million applications for the honor. A great many do not qualify but more than what is allotted do qualify so who do they let go to the USA. This is just one Nation and many others are the same.
I extremely agree with you Why?, we have many people over here that can work, and they prefer stay home watching TV, eating and getting fatter, than work, is three some position available in the farm or in the construction they prefer to dye instead to work over there because that is for slave like black or latin, but then they argue that the latin steal their jobs, Had you ever see the movie " Un dia sin Mexicanos" that exactly what going to happen is they gone. How I'm sure about that? Let me tell you a real true story, I came from a country that the people had the same feeling against the immrigarant that come from the Dominican Republic, A long time ago there many farmer that was looking for employer that can work in their coffe harvest, in my country we have a program like here in USA that help farmers worker and ther family, for example housing, scholarship, work experinece and stuff like that. But what happened is that even this program exist the people dont want to do this job, So the goverment propose to bring some worker from this place, so the farmer dont loose their harvest, but the people argue, so they didnt brought the Dominicans and the farmer loose their harvest and their money. And know many people complain becouse the people dont want to plant. But for what, if the people dont want to work in that things.
Bush does not have the support for this bill that he needs to "force this legislation down those senators throats" like you say, he may be able to have it put back on the schedule but that's about all. They interviewed many of the Senators over this issue and apparently the Republican Senators got in touch with their base and the base was overwhelmingly against this bill (amnesty)... I would hold off on that laugh or you may have egg on your face.
Even Feinstein has been overwhelmed by what she calls "racist" calls and faxes however she is still barreling forward with this bill even though her constituents have spoken. She does not hear the voices of her people.
Where are you from? I ask because there are two types of countries on this planet. The ones immigrants are running to, and the ones the immigrants are running from. All the countries that are in the "to" section, have the same problems as America. England, France, Australia, etc. All complain about immigrants in their countries, but Americans are the racists. The people in the "from" section Are calling us racist in order to try to guilt us into making it easier for them to take advantage of us. If your from a "to" country, your a hypocrite. If your from a "from" country, then go elsewhere. You'll be happier there.
