Emigration to Europe?
My cousin and I have been considering emigrating to the United Kingdom specifically England. I am trying to find out if the procedure is largely different from that of emigrating to the US.
If anyone here has done this kindly share your experience. I've been having some problem finding the British counter part for the USCIS so if anyone knows the site could you please pass it along?
Oh almost forgot. I have another cousin who wants to emigrate to German. I don't know what she wasn't to she just does. Yes she speaks german. Same questions as above; what's the process and does anyone know the websie for the German version of the USCIS?
Thank you.
Answer:
Two official sites to start off with:
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/servlet/front?...
http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/applyin...
Both sites run to hundreds of pages, not that easy to find what you need! Good luck, or for more specific questions, give more information.
EDIT
Just found the English-language German government site
(amazing - I don't think US or UK govs would go to the trouble to put their websites in other languages!):
http://www.zuwanderung.de/english/index....
All Libs need to go now and join their cousins and live under shaira law.
The English equivalent of the USCIS is the Home Office but they are VERY strict about which non-EU citizens they let into the country. Visas are given on a points basis based on your level of education and it is very difficult to be granted a UK visa if you do not have at least a master“s degree or a technical/engineering background. You also have to prove that you can support yourself economically and that you will not be a burden to society.
