Why do certain groups claim we can't deport the illegals in our country?

We could confiscate any funds illegally gained to help off set the cost of deportation.

It really would not cost that much, just enforce the laws and a lot of the criminals will leave.

It is so funny to see certain people just throw there hands up and say it's impossible to enforce our laws and deport all illegals. These same people watch rockets sent into outer space, use mp3 players and computers etc and "it can't be done"

What a laugh.

Answer:
Exactly!!

Enforce the laws in place and the vast majority will have no reason to stay and the massive influx would be curtailed also because there would be no reason to come.

1. Prosecute to the fullest extent of the law all employers hiring illegal aliens. Jail, fine, and/or put them out of business.

2. Do not rent or sell houses to illegal aliens.

3. Do not give them monetary assistance from any governmental agency for any reason.

If these laws were aggressively enforced, 90% of the illegal alien problem would go away, the other 10% can be deported by other means.
It's costing us billions to keep them. I agree, we can send a man to the moon, but we can't deport illegals. How incredibly sad for our nation.
I have yet to see a feasible comprehensive plan.
It would be almost impossible to deport 12-20 million people and the cost would be astronomical. The best idea I have heard so far is to enforce the current laws and place big fines and jail time on employers who knowingly hire illegals. Once there are no jobs for the illegals to work and make money they will leave.
It is a smoke screen. What they are saying is they don't want to do it. This country arrests and confines double the illegal immigrants for marijauna convictions. So they have the resources but not the desire.
The politicians claim that it is impossible to deport them for the same reason they didn't stop them in the first place. They believe it is impossible to deport them and get reelected. They all say we could never deport them but they never seem to say why not. Very irritating.
We're Americans. We're capable of great things. This would be a HUGE undertaking, but it is something that we ARE capable of doing.

I like how you think. Here's my idea. We build a huge fence with razor wire on top. If anyone makes it over the fence we shoot to kill. That will stop the flow of illegals. Then we begin deporting all the drug dealers, gang members and other criminals, even the 40% of our jail population that are Mexican illegals. That will free up some space for our own crooks. Then you begin with the families here. If they are working and supporting themselves, they can stay IF they learn English in 2 years, pay taxes, and have health insurance. If not, they are dropped back over the fence. Hospitals will no longer be allowed to give free health care to illegals. No anchor babies either. Do you realize if the government gives them all amnesty, they can legally bring in all their relatives and we cannot deport them ever. They will be citizens. We need a viable third party.
It is because Bush has spent the money funding the war in Iraq that he no longer have the funds to deport illegals.
Those certain groups must be hoping that "saying it's so will make it so."

Well, it won't. For one thing, and it's a very important one thing, failing to enforce our laws on this topic would subvert the underpinnings of our entire society and our reason for being so fundamentally that I believe our fellow-citizens have an instinctive understanding that it would mean the beginning of the end for the United States of America.

It would mean that even though we still have the means, we no longer have the will to do what it takes to survive as a society and would signal the world that we're here for the taking.
It's funny people say it's impossible to deport 12 million immigrants, I say we won't know until we try. Let's get rid of the 12 million before it becomes 30 million!
In a way they are correct and you also. But, the big problem comes by the large number of people we are talking about. It could be done for thousands but the millions we have would tie up our Federal courts and law enforcement. It would be a disaster. Remember, this is a Federal issue not a State one and most States would not assist in this effort. It is the Federal government duty to protect our borders. There is also another issue involved here, that is, it is in a way our fault for not enforcing our laws and allowing all these people into our country. All Presidents since Reagan have ignored these laws. Both political parties failed to act. I can understand why people want to come here, freedom. We are a great nation because we wish all were as free as we are, so we cannot just go against our own principals and treat oppressed people like common criminals. For most of these people there only crime was wanting freedom. Those who are real criminals should be deported. A good fair plan for the rest should/must be found. Peace :)
You have said it all. Nothing but excuses from chattering Monkeys with no common sense. Theyshoud actually be more Honest and say THEY JUST DON'T Want TO...They don't care about security of Legitimate Americans or The Theft of their Identities and Financial Losses!
