Do you think the Illegal Immigration debate will devolve into violence at some point?
I ask because this is one issue that many on both the right and left agree on this issue in many ways. In addtion, every state in the Union has a militia, and god forbid I fear this issue will spark them into taking this matter on themselves (since the government has been slow to act with any definitive direction), and could possible draw in generally non-militant types as well.

It has already become violent at the border. It is only going to get worse. Americans are trying to allow the government to resolve the issue first, the time is almost running out.
I am prepared for a war, are you? Civil War II will happen if amnesty is granted to the invaders or the NAU comes to pass. America has fought violently to secure it's freedom. If only the invaders finished school they would know enough American history to realize that their invasion will not be passively accepted.
There are not enough liberals (who won't shed blood for Americans much less illegals) in this country to protect them.
I think the politicians need to pull their heads out of their butts or the voting public is gonna whup up on all of them. Republicans and Democrats alike. If they've been looking for something that will unite us, this is the issue that will do it.

I have questions about what you mean by "no truely equitable end" and "silent majority". Where I live that means illegal Mexicans. Is that what you meant? They have already broken their silence. They openly march. They've raised the Mexican flag at federal buildings. They attack Americans, especially whites and especially blondes. While half of immigrants are here to make a better life as new Americans, the other half is militant, believes this is Mexico and that white bashing is a necessary part of the immigration process.
If you meant something else, I wouldn't know, since being in the thick of it here is very unlike what most people in America are experiencing.

I think it won't come to that. There is a bigger fish on the table to me. That fish is condoned religious discrimination by our government, which includes these militias. Our society has been bent on affirmative action programs for race and sex. This has prevented the original talent from excelling to higher paying positions in society, something that they thought was their right when they were growing up behind the reality curtain. Basically Christianity says to give to the poor, to lift up the disadvantaged and so that combined with identified groups of people in society that were identified to be downtrodden over the last couple hundred years, would give a program to give these people advantage over others. Most of the advantages were given to people that fit the minority status that complained and that belonged to social groups, mostly fundamental traditional Christian churches because their squeaks got the oil. So the Christian organizations have pushed the agenda that we should bypass talent and help the disadvantaged people. Now in order for this bleeding heart philosophy to go away, we would have to get rid of all the top people in companies and government accross the board. These same people want cheap labor and to be thought of as fulfilling their programmed Christian destinies to help the disadvantaged. Mind you that when given the chance, a disadvantaged person will do well over time especially when supported by a social platform that supposes a righteous eternal damnation for people that do not agree with it's agenda. And to top this off, the government, the trendsetter, protected the religious discrimination from public scrutiny by hiding it behind the Privacy Act of 1974 shortly after passing legislation to help the minorities achieve an equality in material stature over time. So here we have a part of society that claims that illegal immigration is wrong, that part being a middle class who was not a minority who feels it has not gotten a fair shake.....who by the way will not go against the religious traditional fundamentalists...they are too sacred to tackle for most! So in come the religious traditional fundamentalist converts or otherwise belongers to Catholicism and Baptist and Methodist from other countries by the droves, sponsored by these churches and maybe servicemen who travelled to these countries in war time or on assignment, maybe even meeting a wife over there that would fulfill their desires. All of these fellows by the way, wanting to show the immigrants how to really live...in America and how to get benefits that Americans have paid for for years with blood, sweat and years of service to their society, doing this because their religion taught them to help the disadvantaged. So we help according to our religion ....it hurts our jobs but the religious message is still to help and the Americans become eventually slaves to the benefits being paid out to immigrants that will eventually become their bosses because the disadvantaged with extra benefits eventually come to the top and somebody can proclaim their successes! So you see, in order to stop this, you have to change religion and religion's hold on the bleeding hearts of the rich minorty with a majority to gain and the moral middle class who has been hoodwinked by nature and really has no way out. There are a few crackpots who cant reason their way out of a paper bag who will threaten from time to time but by and large, the foundation of the American public has bought the blood of Jesus as being some special reason to sacrifice and suffer all their lives. It has been pounded into their hearts from the days they were born. Don't worry. You are safe.
It's gonna happen. When ppl sit there and let other nations ppl protest in our streets(that don't even belong here) and do nothing to stop it, you in fact have just promoted TERRORISM. Our government should have stopped this immediately by calling out the national guard, instead they policed their own citizens. Hell is just around the corner.
This issue already has come to a violent head. Where have you been? The violent protest have been going on for years all along the U.S. Mexican border. U.S. Border Patrol Agents have been the targets of violent attacks and out right victims of murder while doing their jobs. Attacks on Border Patrol Agents have increase by 50% in the last 6 months in the El Paso Sector alone.
With a high percentage of people immigrating illegally into America being criminals, how could you avoid violence? America has the highest regard for human life as far as a competitive market goes, but there is a point where Uncle Sam gets tired of people stealing his lunch.
i attend bally's health club in oaklawn il. many many members are illegal,but afew are are legal.but i have illegal friends along with legal ones. we have many talks about the problem,mostly calm, but mention you feel about the usa like they feel about mexico the illegals get very upset,i point out your in my country,illegaly,that's when the word war etc comes up. the illegals feel this is going to happen. i don't think we stand a chance.when we see grps of illegals sent to all corners of the us, it makes a guy wonder is this the offensive line for the illegals and primarily mi 13 or what ever that grps name is,and lastly mexico will go communist in there next election,NOW WHAT DOES THE USA DO,NOTHING
There may be violence but it will be when the ILLEGAL alien criminals start protesting in the streets to get their alleged rights. The problem is, THEY HAVE NO RIGHTS! So when they start their protest, round them up and ship them out.
Remember, this is not a race issue it is a LEGAL issue so don't pull the "race card." It's getting really old.

But, be aware, it isn't just the Mexicans who are here illegally. There are many Asians here illegally as well. For some reason, that has been conveniently overlooked by the media.
Lastly, we're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore. Real Americans will decide their fate here - 'Nuff said!

I really doubt it. Everyone is too afraid of being called a 'racist' for objecting to illegal immigration. It's outrageous. They are hiding behind their true feelings, scared out of their wits that someone might label them a racist. I say....who cares anymore WHAT they call us! Who are they to call us names while standing on our property illegal? If they have a problem with Americans, they can leave at anytime. No one is forcing them to be here.

It is already to a point where, there is violence. Illegals will do everything in there power to get over here. To obtain Free medical care free food, and work as a day labor, and not pay taxes. Also will obtain a id that probally belongs to someone else. I was told last week by a mexican that he has been useing a friends papers. So he is illegal. They obtain work that do not have any education no high school deploma or GED but, yet can work. They expect to get everything free and on a silver plater, when they come over. Alot of them who already work here, will send there money to families over their. They also expect us Americans to learn there language, so we can talk to them. I will not.
