me as a mexican citizen residing here in Souther California, thinks that the US needs to protect its borders but at the same time needs to create a good immigration reform. is no good if they start off by security you need to do both at the same time create a good immigration reform and at the same time create a good border security.
They should work less hard so lazy white people can feel they are hard workers too.
I'm not Mexican, but I'm going to jump in anyway. There are two separate problems that the stupid politicos have lumped together that has totally confused people and precluded any productive discussion. The first problem is securing ALL our borders against terrorists, criminals, and uncontrolled immigration. The second - and totally separate - problem is that we have need (evidently) of a certain number of aliens to work in certain jobs which native Americans are reluctant to take. Both are very easy to solve. The first is solved by boots on the ground, fences, etc. The second is solved by a guest worker program. Hope this clears a few things up.
I don't think that there's a good solution to the problem. Many of the same people who don't want illegal immigration (and get on these forums to say so) don't want to pay the price to hire those who were already here. Many want to blame the problems in Mexico. There are problems. I do not deny that BUT if you took away the demand for labor then no one would come.
What Mexicans expect or aspect? Are you asking Mexicans in Mexico, or Mexican Americans legal or illegal? Your question is confusing.
